RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Do we take 3 RBs in this class?
We might take 3 RBs the same way we took 3 last year (Carlos Hyde, Rod Smith, Philly Brown), with one switching positions (Brown). Dunn would be the logical one to find a new position to get him on the field because he's such a dynamic athlete (SPARQ rating of 114.72... 120 is a perfect score) and there was talk last year that he might outgrow the position (not sure if that's the case anymore).

With an offense that has tradtionally been anemic under Tressel, Ball, Dunn, and Shell would be a SERIOUS shot in the arm. I'd almost look at those three as playmakers instead of RBs. You can never have enough playmakers.

I've changed my mind on this one. I say we take Dunn and we are done. Before the season I was very high on Shell, and woulda taken him ahead of Dunn. But after watching a few of his games, I say we take Dunn. The kid is a tank, and his pretty good speed. Dunn runs like Boom, and but is more talented, and it not limited by his frame.

I don't think there is any way we take 3 RBs. The numbers just won't allow it.

Not trying to be smart but it doesn't matter what "we" think. It is up to the coaches and recruits, we are just speculating on what we would like to see happen or think will happen. I don't have any inside information from the coaches or recruits but I do like Dunn's size. I personally prefer backs in the 220 to 240 range.

Just stating my opinion man. It really doesn't who we take, we already got our top RB on the board.

Didn't mean to single you out and come across that way. We are certainly all entitled to our opinions but I read all these posts about we should be taking "X" or "Y" player like we have input into the process.

I have heard over and over and over again that we recruit....speed, big speed and power. So do you take the best players available under those categories and find places for them to get on the field? My guess is if those are the best players in those categories you take them all and find out how to get them on the field.

Dunn could be a LB or Safety...Ball could play wr, db, etc. Shell seems the guy that will definitely play RB and all I have heard is he will be a Buckeye when offered. I think next years class has to have a true LT prospect and we may need a LB or two depending on how this class closes out. I say take them all if they are tops on our boards. Go Bucks

Free Scout - Brionte Dunn runs Wild

By Scott Kennedy
Director of Scouting

Canton, Ohio - The home of Pro Football's Hall of Fame is also home to one of the nation's best juniors. Running back Brionte Dunn was just named to Scout's Top 100 for the Class of 2012, and you can see why in this 300 yard performance against perennial power Massillon.

Scout released its first Top 100 for the Class of 2012 earlier this week, and Glen Oak running back Brionte Dunn (6-1/215/4.6) was included on this elite list of players. Dunn has rushed for over 800 yards in three games this season.

Yeah that article from the cantonrep rubbed me the wrong way. Tressel doesn't have a history of rescinding offers over injury if he want to commit to make surte he has a place in the class becuase of the low count that's another matter but what was with all the injury talk?

the thing that impresses me the most about brionte is how much he looks like eddie. his feet never stop moving, he runs leaning forward and best of all, he has that second tier speed which is crucial at the next level. he is strong as well. if you hit him up high, you will bounce off. if you go for his legs he will knock you off with his arms. i don't know how many single-man tackles have been made on him this year, but i know that there aren't many. he's a stud.

i think that if osu signs any two of the backs, the other one will go elsewhere. these kids all have the talent to play freshman year as a featured back and will go where they can to do it.
