RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

was at the game. Dunn is a superstar and thats all I can say. He's a smaller but, faster Beanie and Beanie was fast in H.S. OSU has to do something with him I really hope so . He looks like he's ahead of Beanie and that bothers me cause I'm so pro Beanie. He keeps having these 300,, yard rushing games because, thats all what Glenoaks offense has and the other teams know it and can't even stop him. STAR
I watched the game with a few past college players and all they kept talking about was Dunn and how he looks better then Beanie. Dunn reminds me of a Beanie and k.Carter combo

DUNN CATCHING ATTENTION

GlenOak running back Bri?onte Dunn has caught the attention of Ohio State coaches. According to Buckeye insiders, Ohio State contacted GlenOak head coach Scott Garcia last week to ask about Dunn and to acknowledge his 320-yard effort against Massillon. Well, Dunn did it again.

He hit Green for 303 yards on 46 carries.

Dunn, after his back-to-back 300-yard performances, was an invited guest of the Buckeyes at Saturday?s Miami game. After the start Dunn?s had, they should have asked him if he wanted 50-yard-line seats.

In three games, Dunn has 825 yards, an average of 275 a game. That puts him on pace to shatter Stark County?s single-season rushing record of 2,447 yards set by former McKinley star Morgan Williams in 2006.

Dunn, just a junior, could be the county?s all-time leading rusher by the time he?s done. He rushed for more than 1,400 last year. He had about 600 as a freshman at Alliance. He would need about 3,200 yards the two years to get there. Former Hoover star Erick Howard set the mark at 6,013 last year.

Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel may not want to take too much of a laid-back approach. Alabama sent Dunn a letter that wished him well before this season, and it was signed by Nick Saban.

Don?t forget, Garcia and his coaching staff went to Alabama in the summer to learn how Saban runs his offense and to design some runs with Dunn in mind. Garcia left a copy of Dunn?s highlight film that Saban watched.

So if Dunn commits, which we all think he will, we will have an even more loaded backfield in about three years than we do now. Hyde, who has been compared to MoC. Rod Smith, who has been compared to Eddie. Ball, who has been compared to Adrian Peterson. And Dunn, who is being compared to Beanie. Now We all know that that is some very high praise for some guys who really havn't seen the field yet, but to even be mentioned with those guys is pretty amazing....

^ lets not get ahead of ourselves. There is definately potential though. It is just unfortunate that there are so few scholarships available for this class. Do we take 3 RBs in this class? I think Dunn will be a tressel favorite, a big back that one needs in the big 10. I just would not want to be the guy to find all the carries to keep these guys happy. That is a great problem to have though.

If Dunn wants OSU he should accept offer ... quick - cantonrep.com

Sep 16th, 2010 @ 7:59 am by Todd Porter

GlenOak running back Bri'onte Dunn told me the other day that Ohio State was at the top of his recruiting wish list. That was on Tuesday. Then 24 hours later, Buckeyes Head Coach Jim Tressl made Dunn?s wish a reality when he called to offer the 6-foot-2, 215-pound back a full-ride scholarship in the 2012 recruiting class. Dunn is just a junior.

What Dunn should do is accept that offer. There is nothing that bind him to a verbal offer to the Buckeyes. If a better fit comes along later, he can change his mind. What Dunn gets is peace of mind. Heaven forbid, but if he was to get injured, his verbal commitment is insurance against that.

To date, Dunn has rushed for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns in GlenOak's three games. He has in the neighborhood of 2,900 career rushing yards and he still has the rest of this season and all of next season. There is a real good chance Dunn will be Stark County's career rushing leader.

This offer is only as good as long as Tressel has the schollies to go that far. Right now, Ohio State is likely to have a class of just 14 or 15 in 2012. The first running back or two to accept, are in. The others are left out. Dunn won't have a shortage of offers. He's been offered by Ohio State, Notre Dame, Pitt and Cincinnati. Watch what happens now that No. 2 Ohio State has offered. Almost every Top 25 program around will offer Dunn.

My advice, make a soft verbal to a school now. Injuries are a real part of high school football. Lake's Jimmy Luther and McKinley ELijah Farrakhan are out indefinitely with knee injuries. That along would be enough to sway me.
