again, pretty much the same thing that could be said about Mo Hall. maybe its a bad comparison because of their size or whatever but I can't help feeling like "boom" and "zoom" are Lydell Ross and Mo Hall v 2.0.

Comparing Boom to Ross (or Mo) is unfair and offbase, imo.

He was a tough, fairly powerful straight-ahead runner his first few games last season before his surgery. Ever since then he just doesn't run folks over or move the pile. There was a reason that the staff decided to play Zoom and redshirt Boom back then. That may have all changed...

What's the justification for the comparison? Where are the simlarities, besides trying to complete a 4-way match of players with different styles and abilities?

I don't remember Mo picking up tough yardage through traffic like Boom, at least not consistently.

I think he's comparing Boom to Lydell, which actually is a decent comparison at this stage. Some people forget how good Lydell was before he got injured.

what happen to Brandon Saine

What happen to Brandon Saine? He's has so much upside more so then Boom and Mo. He's should be the 2nd behind Beanie.

From what little I see of him, he can move piles and and catch out of the back field. So is he's in Tressel's dog house.

There were at least 3 or 4 runs Sat where I thought "L Ross would have run right into the pile or his O-line right there".

boom shows great vision and patience to let the blocks develop. He reads the blocks well and finds the space.

He will do nicely until we get Beanie back.

Mo Wells looks much improved to me as well - as long as he's in there with Pryor.

Saine could use some of the vision and patience previously mentioned - throw in some nastiness - then he would be a stud.

Herron ran the ball 12 times on first downs. Once he had no gain and once he had a 1 yard loss. The other 10 carries on first he averaged 5.7 yards per carry. That's a damn good average for first down.

We just don't get that from Saine, at least not since his injury.
