RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

Hopefully, Wells^2 can take care of things without activating Herron (although I am anxious to see him get a few carries). Preserving Beanie for the long-haul is the most important factor here, so if they gotta burn Herron's red shirt year then so-be-it. However, I think playing NW, you can probably spread the extra carries to Mo and still win with relative ease.

I've searched and searched for a brandon saine article and there's nothing.. He ran for a TD the last play of the game so there was no injury? why would anyone say someting like that. I've never read tressel saying he's questionable...

COLUMBUS ? Ohio State freshman running back Brandon Saine is questionable for the Northwestern game because of an undisclosed injury, coach Jim Tressel said Thursday.
Saine raced for a 37-yard touchdown on the final play against Washington last week but was ailing afterward. Asked if the injury is serious, Tressel said: "He's questionable ? that's serious to me."

It happened in practice.....(prior to the Washington game).

Wow. Watching that last play of the Washington game...if that is Brandon in slightly dinged mode...then he's even more amazing than I thought.

If that last run was at part throttle, we need more of that. I'm sure Tressel wants his big guns healthy for games that require the Wells, Wells, Saine combo. It's nice to have this much potential in the backfield, but not necessary for the NW game.

Whatever the case, If Saine needs time off to fully recover...so be it, but if for some reason Mo can't seem to get the running game sparked early, I would say that they will use Saine in a limited scope.

There is no way that we begin to trail NW and keep Saine out unless he is truely physcially unable to perform, which I do not believe is the case.

Edit: I also have a funny feeling that our "Big Ten Air Assault" will begin this weekend thus spreading it out for Mo!
