RB Antonio Pittman (Official Thread)

That was Byars Jr. Year

That great ytear was his Junior year. One could certainly argue that Hail Flutie cost him the Heisman, but in those days it was unusual for a Junior to win the Heisman. The thinking was they have another year.

Several Juniors did win:

Billy Sims
Roger Staubach
Herschel Walker

and of course Archie

Actually, Bernie Kosar would've won it if not for Flutie...

I think whatever that other guy was smoking earlier today made it to Oahu.

Kosar made a comment that one of his teammates asked him "How does it feel to be one pass from the Heisman?" as they were walking off the field of that game...he said the only reason he didn't clock the guy was because he was about 100 pounds bigger.

That year Flutie also became the 1st collegiate passer to reach the 10,000 yard mark, so that helped him too, but I still think that the Hail Mary was the reason Byars didn't get it.

I think he can be a great back. He is averaging around 4.5 yards a carry through his acreer so far. If he does that consistently and gets the number of carries an tOSU back should get, then he will be great.

I dont get why people dont read at least of couple of posts in a thread before posting, its been stated over and over and over that he has averaged around 5.3 yards a carry.

Think back, grasshopper. I seem to remember a young buck named scarletand somethingorother77 who would read the first couple posts, then reply with something that had already been said. Although at least you didn't make up numbers....now that I think about it nevermind. rubies for him.
BTW 77, you've made quite a comeback on the old rep. Still posting 20 a day?

That's a lot of posts. I don't have that much to say.....but this thread has pretty much been hijacked, so we've got that going for us....which is nice.
I wonder how long it will be before 77 overtakes Mili and Grad.....where's xrayrandy when you need him. If I had the energy I would figure it out myself.

i think that by time he gets to be a junior/senior Pittman will be really good. Chris Wells coming in will take some carries away but theyll both be good. Look at Lyndell White and Reggie Bush. (just to show that 2 good backs can be successful together, haha but Pittman and Wells arent quite at White/Bush level yet.)

At current rates, 587 days to catch Mili, 1,015 days to catch g21.

Since xrayrandy is busy calculating how many yards Texas's Reggie-Bush-like-players are going to gain in the RRS this week.
