They label Pittman #23 on the Heisman favorites next year.

11. Ted Ginn, Sr. - Ohio State
- Takes over for Troy Smith in terms of the Heisman for Ohio State...if he comes back.

... he's a tough cuss but.. im not sure he has a heisman run in him at this point. tressel and the coaching staff might feel differently, but id imagine glenville would be sad to see him go...

This reports him as a possible first day pick. I'd really hate to see him abandon his college experience for a 3rd round pick or possibly lower. JT plays his Sr., so I don't care how great Wells may be next year. Pitt would get every chance to improve his draft stock from the 3rd round.

Of course, there is the financial aspect to consider. I do not know AP's background or current situation and he may need the imediate dividends the NFL offers vs. waiting to improve his stock and overall payday. If that is the case, and only he can decide that, then I wish him the best of luck - thank him for hard work - and hope he can still improve himself through the NC game and the combine.

No way he goes in the first this year... the second could happen, I'd be shocked if he wasn't at least taken in the third...

You'd think some of these guys would learn from Ashton's mistake last year (going pro had to have cost him millions... third round vrs. at least second this year maybe even first round)...:(

Ashton would not have gone in the first round this year.. too many DBs (some hyped and some real good).

With the class of RB's in next years draft and the fact Chris Wells is going to take more carries next year AP's draft stock may be at its highest right now. I would love for him to stay but he might fall for reasons beyond what he can help in next years draft.
i think the biggest reason of all for him leaving would be that troy is leaving

Ditto that. With Troy and Ted leaving, it makes for tougher sledding next year. Anyone's stock could drop because tOSU might not be the same powerhouse.

one could say that but id say our offensive line is getting more and more dominant as time goes on. QB position isnt just a newbie. experiencewise the worst we could do is henton who redshirted this year and has the year to get the schemes and practice down. WRs are not taking too big of a hit if ted leaves. small is a ginn clone, dukes will get playing time, gonzo is a go to guy, robo is robo, plus you still have hartline, nichol, and ballard.

It depends on how his hip had healed up prior to the season. Had he been back in late-2004 or early-2005 form, shining in spotlight games like Texas and Michigan (especially against Manningham) and in the national title game would've all but locked up a first-round pick.

Now, back to Antonio...
