Way to go out on a limb on that 1,000-yard prediction...

Football: Buckeye running back Antonio Pittman has been named the Big Ten Player of the week on offense.
Pittman rushed for a career-high 186 yards on 23 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns in OSU's win over Minnesota over the weekend. His 67-yard scoring romp in the third period broke a 17-17 tie and propelled the Buckeyes to the win.
Pittman has rushed for 100 yard or more in three straight games and five times overall this season. The Akron, Ohio, native currently ranks fourth among all Big Ten rushers averaging 110.2 rushing yards per game.
Pittman is nothing but a stud...all last week the TV peopel were talk about the Minnesota running back, Marony but instead it was Pittman who ended up haveing the big game...I mean 186 yds and 2 TD's I would call that a great day for anyone. and he finally scored a touchdown...I mean Ohio State has played how many games now and they have been so close to the endzone, but never has he scored before this game......so he busts out a 67 ud TD run...which I am sure was a huge confidence builder for him.....I believe this kid has a bright future with OSU and will be a 1,000 yd rusher before the season is over.

Keep on Truckin': Football players have their own lingo for certain kinds of plays. A player who gets run over on a play is said to have been trucked, as in getting run over by a truck. The Buckeyes got a truck play from a rather unexpected source against Illinois when 195 pound Antonio Pittman ran over a defensive back for OSU's first touchdown of the second half. Pittman was the trucker, and the truckee was Illinois' number 20, defensive back Morris Virgil. The play fired up the Buckeyes.

"I think he's getting back to his form when he was at Buchtel (Pittman's high school, Akron Buchtel), you know, when they gave him the nickname The Beast," said OSU quarterback Troy Smith.
Pittman's run put an end to some talking that was going on out on the field prior to the play.
"Number 20 is supposed to be Illinois's hard hitter and they were out there doing a lot of jawing and within that, I think he got what he deserved because I don't understand why guys talk stuff all the time on the field anyway. Pittman is just a hard tough runner, you know, the more carries he gets, the more he's going to grind the defense out," said Smith.
Pittman's run fired up the Buckeyes.
"I love it. I love Pitt every week," said offensive lineman Nick Mangold.
"I love him more and more, then when you see something like that it shows how much he wants to get in and want to run the ball. It's just a great thing to see," Mangold said.
Pittman's run not only fired up the Buckeyes, it also quieted some of the talking that was going on out on the field.
"He (20) was talking a lot but it's part of the game," said Pittman. "I didn't even see him in the game after that."
