QB1 Will Howard (Official Thread)

Will Howard didn’t come out of the bullpen in the bottom of the ninth. If you want a pitching comparison, it’s more like he lost a complete game shutout 1-0, because he gave up an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth.
Well, at least you didn’t go all the way and make him Harvey Haddix!

Great game by Howard! He seems to be very self aware, and knows his limitations and strengths and didn't try and do too much against Oregon. My worry is that he would try and force a play and it would become a turnover. He played the best anyone could've asked, but his defense let him down, and his OC didn't go back to his strength of running the ball. So Howard shouldered most of the 2nd half load. We should all feel very confident with Howard at QB

just sucks that he dropped that snap and then slid too late bc those 2 plays (unfairly or fairly) overshadow how much good ball he played.

I agree with your last statement 100%. And I tip my hat (if I were wearing a hat, that is) to him for exploiting that. I'm not happy he did, but good on him to do that to his advantage.

Agreed. There’s a fine line between cheating and gamesmanship. This is squarely on the gamesmanship side of that line. Clever, but completely within the rules.

Yup. Except they just changed the rules. So if they do it now and the refs DON'T give the one team the option to turn back the clock, then the refs are the goobs.
