QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Why not try Pryor at this point? There's nothing more depressing than losing when you also aren't working for the future.

Carson Palmer isn't working. Matt Leinart has shown he isn't good. Give Pryor a chance.

TP never struck me as a very good passer. Amazing athlete absolutely, he could be the Lebron of the NFL, but if he can't consistently make reads and get the ball to open receivers he will never be an NFL QB.

There is no reason that he can't be a wildcat QB that they let throw an occasional pass as a change up, but I think he would be better used as a WR, especially in the red zone. Joe Haden is a great athlete, but if you throw TP the ball high in the corner of the endzone it is either a TD or a flag. I think it shows how how horrible of an organization the Raiders are that they haven't even let one of the greatest athletes in the NFL dress for a game in a season and a half.

I'm going to ask you all to close your eyes while I tell you the story. I want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to yourselves. Go ahead. Close your eyes, please...can you see him? ...now imagine 6'6" 235 TP playing free safety in 1969 :yow1:
In 1969 he would have been a D lineman or tight end. While pryor is a very gifted athelete I don,t think he will ever hold a candle to Tatum as far as fulfilling his capabilities. I wouldn't even put Pryor in my top 100

:roll1:

6,177 total passing yards in three years... 2,164 rushing yards... 157.9 junior year passer rating... 76 touchdowns, including 2 receiving... yeah, maybe he didn't fully reach whatever you define to be "his capabilities"... but keeping him out of whatever your top 100 might be is pretty ridiculous... even considering that your top 100 covers the last 80 years of tOSU football

Meh, if that's your view, fine. I can sleep at night stating for the record that:
- TP's stats are pretty damn amazing
- He led a very, very good 2010 team that was one crappy special teams/defensive game in Madison away from a real title run (of course, many many many Buckeye legends have failed to win a NC)
- Not sure he'll ever be a great pro, but he's only 23 now...
- He was 'encouraged' to leave school before he had a chance to graduate, even though he intended to stay for his senior year of eligibility (I have no idea if he was on track for a degree)
- And by tossing his team in a dumpster, he did what another 4 memebers of his own class and, allegedly, a few others did... which was sell his own stuff for tatoos... strangely no one treats Boom, Posey, Thomas or Adams like shit around here, just TP
- Not sure how he tossed all of tOSU in a dumpster

The Tat 5 only spend 5 games on the sidelines and not dumpster fire the program if Tress hits forward.

I think Terrelle Pryor was (and likely still is) a spoiled brat who made some mistakes that ended up costing both him and his school big time. But acting like he wasn't a tremendous college quarterback is just silly. He performed very well on the field, even as so many "fans" derided him as not being a "real quarterback." Another stupid comment, BTW.

It's hard for many people to separate their distaste for the man from their evaluation of him as a player, though, I certainly understand that.

Just imagine him in the offense tOSU is currently using. Scary...

If this is directed at me, I agree that he was a tremendous QB, just said he hasnt to date fulfilled his capabilities as a player and isnt in my top 100 in that regard. I also have to say that there have been better atheletes here at tOSU, even tho he is a tremendous one.

HE SOLD HIS GOLD PANTS FOR A DISCOUNTED TATTOO.

You guys spend hours arguing about what fucking color the leaves are, or how the sleeves should look..

And this jackass sells the trinket that commerates the first time tOSU EVER beat those fucks from up north.

Talk about fucking with traditions. NIKE would never think to piss on somethign that sacred to the faithful.

When I see the widows wearing the gold pants around their chains at a tailgate, I think about what an idiot we had putting these stats up under center.

The same idiot who said "everyone kills people, everyone steals from you, steals from me", defending Vick.

The same idiot who showed up with temp tags on a 350Z the night JT was fired.

The same idiot who put Jim Tressel in a situation he shouldn't have been in.

Let it go dude. He did a lot of bad here but he also did a lot of good.
He won us a Rose Bowl. He did everything he could to protect the school by not speaking to the NCAA.

Yes he put Tressel in the situation but Tressel could have suspended him and it could have ended right there.

Can't you just forgive the guy and move on?
