before you criticize someone...walk a mile in their shoes....because then, you'll be a mile away from them, and you'll have their shoes

Under your theory no one can criticize...cause they haven't 'walked in their shoes' BS TP was given a lot..talent scholarship opportunity and he wasted all of them. I want TP to have success in the pros..again he has talent opportunity and a contract its up to him to make the most of it. PS I lost my Dad in my 20's and tried to live up to the example he set for me..I haven't always done the right thing but thats my fault. No excuses.

I've forgotten the tattoo thing, but, frankly, the fans don't owe him anything either.

Fair weather fans? You mean fans who are disappointed that their team won't go to a bowl game and will lose valuable practice time, and that deserving players might not get a chance to play for tOSU because of scholarship losses, and fans who understand that the players were affected by selfish actions?

Are those the fans you are talking about?

I think they all realize that TP was a great college player.

Players taking improper benefits almost never leads to all that...because it's the head coach's responsibility to do his job as a leader and handle it responsibly...not try to cover it up and then lie about it

And sure, Pryor and the other players deserve some blame, but Tressel deserves more imo. It was his job to deal with the mistakes young players will inevitably make. It was his job to minimize the fallout from those mistakes. Quite simply, he ultimately failed in that part of his job.

This isn't even getting into the fact that it's ridiculous to call a grown man selling or trading his property a "mistake" but that's another argument.

I am not mad at Tressel, either. He was a great coach and a great ambassador for the university for a long time. And I've moved on, no matter whose fault it is.

I just don't understand why Pryor gets so much more blame and animosity than Tressel.

I think everyone realizes that there were multiple guilty individuals here. The original comment was based on TP talking about money when all he really needed to discuss was the loss of a father and mentor. You remove money from the equation and we have no discussion today. Of course, that could be the case in many instances.

I wish the best for Pryor. I don't blame him for what he and a few of his teammates did. Watching him play here was awesome. 3 BCS appearances in 3 years, 2 victories.

Well you know and I know he won 2 BCS bowl games (in 3 years); however, unfortunately the NCAA thinks otherwise (i.e. officially the Sugar Bowl win was "vacated"). :(

I get the animosity many still feel for Terrelle, he played a part in bringing down an immensely popular and successful coach. What many of us like to overlook is that it was JT's own decisions that ultimately cost him his job, and got tOSU in trouble. I think Tressel was a tremendous person that maybe cared too much for Terrelle (and, yes, his own success). But, his continued involvement in Pryor's life tells me Terrelle is a pretty good kid that made some poor choices that I can't say I wouldn't make myself. Personally, I wish nothing but the best for #2 from now on...he was a lot of fun to watch.

I just want TP to move FORWARD.

The less he talks about his time at Ohio State the better. I have a feeling that this kid has the goods on OSU and could drown them if he wanted to.

If you really believe that, then the more he remains positive about tOSU, the better. The further removed he is/feels from the program or Buckeye community at large, the more likely he would be to "drown" tOSU, in my IMO.

He makes half a million a year. He certainly hasn't wasted his talent, and since he was basically asked to leave the program, I don't really feel he wasted his schollie. Also, he wasn't making a fucking excuse by bringing up being poor as a kid. He was pointing out that his mentor was important to him because most poor kids don't get a fucking mentor. I don't know how long his dad was ill, but having a father that isn't able to do all the stuff kids want their dad to do can make another male role model crucial.

I don't give a flying fuck what your opinion of Mr. Pryor is (not you personally), but losing perhaps the two most important men in his life within a week of each other at twenty years old should at least give him a week pass on getting shit on by Buckeye fans of all people.

That doesn't bother me at all. That won't change my memory of that night one bit. But at least the haters can say we're 0-fer vs the SEC in bowl games still LOL!!

The only time vacating would bother me is if it was a National Championship. Then I'd feel different about it.

"Vacating wins" is one of the dumbest and most self-aggrandizing things that the NCAA does when they're not doing it to JoePa.

I have very little emotion either way when it comes to TP. I have come to the conclusion that the reason the program got in trouble was because of Tress not spoiled athletes. If anyone thinks TP is the first athlete that has come through Ohio State that had ego and maturity problems....or took in proper benefits you live and lala land.

My problem with Terrelle hasn't really been brought up. It's less about his role in bringing down JT and hurting the program. I simply hated all of his stupid tweets while he was here and I never felt like he put in the work to maximize his potential. With his natural talents he should have advanced much more in his throwing mechanics as an example. He just got by on natural athleticism and ran his mouth off too much for me. Clearly he played a major roll in a lot of wins though and I will give him credit for that. He just left me wanting more. Not more wins just more leadership and maturity. I like seeing guys progress and get the most out of their natural ability, on and off the field. For me that never happend with Terrelle. I also feel bad for him during this time so I don't want to trash on the guy right now. His time here was certainly far below his potential in a lot of ways but I wish him luck in the future. Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye.

I've kept my mouth shut for over a year, I will not answer any PMs or go into detail, I have some intimate knowledge of the situation and I can assure you.. TP has nothing on OSU. ESPN/SI dug & dug.. they didn't find some big pay for play because, simply, it's not there.
