QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Old news...Sarniak was ruled to NOT be a booster for OSU by the NCAA. I believe the wording used was "lifelong family friend." OSU asked him to stop giving money to Pryor's family a while back. Pryor told this to the NCAA in May.

NCAA saw no violation with this and so it wasn't included in the NOA. But this could help Pryor out in terms of showing his circumstances changed I guess.

This was my fear if TP didn't get admitted into the draft, he would talk, sue, etc. and the dirty laundry would fly.

That being said I'm not sure how much this will implicate tOSU as he had a previous relationship and therefore would likely not be considered a booster. Regardless it's nasty and tOSU may or should have known and put a stop to it.

Me posting that is more of a "point and laugh at ESPN" for continuing to throw mud our way. ESPN "Rumor Central" has a headline article $ that says, "More trouble at OSU?"

Does it ever end? ESPN is like that step-mom who is bitter because your dad wouldn't put up with her shit any more. She wasn't willing to put out, so he told her to shove it and he went and found some hot, young girl that he bangs on his own terms. Now, she's hitched with some other dude but she still can't get over how she got dumped so she continues to try anything to fling poo at your dad, even tirelessly harrassing you and your brothers and sisters, but mostly you because you're the big brother. And sure, you may like to party and womanize here and there, but what good looking older brother doesn't these days? Your step-mom (ESPN) proceeds to tell the entire community that you rape and pillage catholic schools and you are Casey Anthony's pimp, all with the intention of hurting your dad.

(my parents are happily married by the way, this is simply an anology)

The hot young girl is the BTN I guess :banger:

And while she is admittedly young and annoying to listen to, she beats that controlling ex 10 times out of 9.

I did what any gentlemen would do...

I got a brand new girlfriend.

Link?

Not trying to be a smartass either, I've just never seen this. I've seen it mentioned twice now, but I'm just not sure where it's coming from.

Mortenson from ESPN reporting that Pryor admitted to NCAA that Sednarik (Sp?) helped TP financially and helped his family with car payments.

Per @mortreport, TPryor's attorney said the QB admitted to NCAA mentor Ted Sarniak gave TP and his mother cash...

I have to question this because, according to what I just saw on TV, his attorney is making the case that these additional violations would make him eligible for the supplemental draft because he admitted them to the NCAA in May, 2011. Meanwhile, tOSU is denying that he reported anything additional to them or the NCAA.

In other words, TP's chances of getting what he wants now are increased by "admitting" more violations. I'm calling BS.

I think the newest TP stuff is coming from him...

While ESPN is on a hunt to do burned earth around here, in this case I think its TP trying to get into the draft. He's the one saying (or should I say his lawyer) that look I did this too, I can't play college ball... I was bad.

From the NFL's point of view, has there been anything new admitted to by the school to make him unable to return to play? (besides the same 5 game penalty he had back to Dec)

I think new things may have come to light and he wouldn't have been able to play, but since he refused to talk to the NCAA and saving the school he's hurt his own potential at the draft.

Also: Terrelle Pryor will be ineligible to practice prior to or play in the first five games of the NFL regular season after he signs.

VERY interesting move by the league. I like it, but wonder what larger precedent it sets- are former Hurricanes going to get dinged for their involvement in UM's crucifixion?

It might have more to do with him kind of manipulating the supplemental draft. The NFL said it had to do with the fact he didn't cooperate with the NCAA and hired and an agent which then resulted him being ineligible with the NCAA.

congrats to him being able to move on and try and make a living.

but I can't say that I agree with the decision the NFL made. When their statement says his actions were detrimental to the integrity of the supplemental draft, I don't know how they can then just turn around and make him eligible. Like Mali said, this is going to open up a huge can of worms now in the future for any player that gets in trouble and wants to go to the NFL. Should have some interesting impact in the future.
