QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I'm glad to see that Pryor apologized and all, but until a change in behavior is demonstrated, it's just words.

My dad taught me that when I fucked up, I had to A) change my behavior, B) never make the same fuck up again and C) pay for my fuck up.

He'd say "Son, saying 'I'm sorry' don't cut it, you have to fix it and not repeat it".

If I broke a window, I had to pay for the window to be replaced with money I had earned myself.

My dad would say that Terelle Pryor owes Jim Tressel at least $14,000,000.00.

yeah....because TP tied JT down and wouldn't let him forward those emails to Gene Smith. JT cost JT 14 mil.

I'm still absolutely shocked about how this basically blew up again over rumor and speculation. Literally none of the new allegations have been proven true or have been proven to be flat out false. Once again this further reinforces my hatred of the mainstream media and makes me hope that Fickell is even more harsh in their treatment towards them.

Unfortunately, at each turn since the tat 5 story broke, most of what has been reported ended up being basically accurate. It starts with the rumor starting to break and everyone gets pissed at the mainstream media, saying they are picking on us etc....

If TP, the rest of the tat 5, Coach Tressell, and anyone else who contributed to this mess had been doing the right thing, we would still have our coach, our QB, 4 other guys for the first 5 games, and we would be watching Boise, Auburn, Oregon, USC, North Carolina etc go through their own investigations.

OSU is not and should not be a victim. These things happened and there is no one to blame except those who committed the violations. OSU happens to be one of THE premier football programs in the country and thus, when we fuck up, the media is going to be all over it. What intensifies this media scrutiny is that these kinds of violations were the exact opposite of what we had come to expect from THE Ohio State Football team.

To me, this is an example of finding out someone you love, trust and respect violated their own integrity. You can be mad at them. You can be disappointed. At the end of the day, you want them to own up to it. Apologize. Fix the issue and move forward. I still think the world of Ohio State Football as a whole. Hopefully all of these issues will come out, be addressed, apologized for, and moved on from.

Even though this seems massive to all of us right now. Ohio State Football is SO much larger than any part of this scandal. I am ready to move forward, take any licks the NCAA hands out, and get back to cheering for the Scarlet and Gray.

If that wasn't genuine, then that was some terrific acting. He has "just spoken words" plenty of times before this, including the Sugar Bowl postgame, but that was a side I haven't seen publicly from TP.

I agree with your general sentiment, but I was pretty surprised to watch that level of emotion.

Agreed. He's faced a lot of backlash, and he didn't have to do this press conference. It's not like not doing it was going to make things any worse. Seemed legitimate to me.

I think it was as genuine as he knows how to be.
