QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I'm glad to see that Pryor apologized and all, but until a change in behavior is demonstrated, it's just words.

My dad taught me that when I fucked up, I had to A) change my behavior, B) never make the same fuck up again and C) pay for my fuck up.

He'd say "Son, saying 'I'm sorry' don't cut it, you have to fix it and not repeat it".

If I broke a window, I had to pay for the window to be replaced with money I had earned myself.

My dad would say that Terelle Pryor owes Jim Tressel at least $14,000,000.00.

The NCAA makes all of its budget information available on its website. MaxBuck even linked it for you. There's no need to call bullshit on something when you can simply read.

In the meantime, let's conitemplate what two items each NCAA student-athlete might buy off the value menu at Wendy's if Mark Emmert's salary were distributed among them equally.

i wasn't calling bullshit on his post. i was calling bullshit on the budget pie.
revenues:

the 14 year $10.8 billion March Madness deal equals $770 million annually. there's literally A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS missing from that revenue chart.

I doubt there is revenue from FY 2010-11 unaccounted for. The yearly revenue for broadcast rights probably escalates year-to-year over the life of the contract rather than being distributed equally (similar to large contracts for pro athletes). I have no documentation for the payout from one year to the next, but several sources said that's how the previous TV contract was structured. The TV revenue for FY 2010-11 was listed as $680 million. I'll bet the revenue for the final year of the deal will be over $800 million.

First his agent better learn how to pronounce his name going forward. Just saying...

Second, I wish TP luck in what he does. Now that he is in Miami, he and LBJ can figure out how they are going to handle the future lined with challenges, adversity, and maybe a few Buckeye fans sitting in the stands at South Beach.

Those are some expensive windows!

When all this shit started to go down I stated that I wanted to punch someone in the dick... I wasn't sure who was going to be on that list, be it TP, JT, GS, EGG, the rest of inco-cinco... or the lot of them. After watching that video I still want to punch them all in the dick. However, I'm respectfully adding Drew Rosenhaus to my list.

It was a nice mia culpa and all, but at the end of the day... here we fucking are. This shit better stop and stop yesterday.

Thank you, that should do it for now.

:oh:

OK, if you are truly sorry you will tell the NCAA it was you and you alone. You will make the statement that MoC did that you acted on your own and got no assistance from the coaching staff in who to speak with and where to go to get any of these benefits. Lying/withholding to the compliance office was JT's fault and he should have known better than to do so. You should also clear up any of the bullshit that is flying around out there, 20,000-40,000 autograph signings. It might take a while before you should step on campus to finish that degree, I don't think that many people want to see you there right now. And your agent god love him he's doing his job but I don't think he is the best mouth piece for you right now, next question. He might want to take a look and see that the labor dispute hasn't been settled yet so the supplemental draft currently will not be taking place and any talks with NFL teams can be considered tampering which will only make you that much more of a poison pill.

As a Buckeye fan for almost 40 years, and as a member of this site from pretty much the day that "C-Dog" created it, I hope that it's okay for me to just say "F.CK TERRELLE PRYOR.":!:!:!

Coach Fick is on board now. "Individuals" like Pryor, I highly suspect, will NEVER be welcomed here.:oh:

Peace

So just take a hundred g's off his gross along with every fucking coach that makes over a mil, and any coach that gets paid over two hundred grand in a non-revenue sport. Who gives a shit how good their coaches are? If it's "business", and their sport operates in the fucking red for fifty years, they shouldn't get a half a million dollar coach.
