But he did manage to get himself into the NFL record book, this 93-yarder is the longest-ever TD run by a QB.

Terrelle Pryor’s case against Ohio State, NCAA and Big Ten dismissed by judge​

Terrelle Pryor’s lawsuit against Ohio State, the NCAA and the Big Ten over denied name, image and likeness compensation was dismissed Friday.

A judge ruled OSU was covered by "sovereign immunity." Pryor’s claims were deemed to be outside the four-year statute of limitations for an antitrust lawsuit.

Much of his case centered around the money he would have made as one of the biggest names in college football during his time in Columbus.

Pryor, a former quarterback for the Buckeyes (2008-10), was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2008.

Before July 2021, collegiate athletes could not profit off their name, image and likeness.

Former Ohio State football player Terrelle Pryor has lawsuit dismissed against the university​

Prior to Friday, Pryor was suing both Ohio State and the Big Ten for not receiving NIL funds while he was in school. The lawsuit was dismissed on Friday, ending the legal battle. It becomes the latest friction between Pryor and the university. It doesn't look like they will be welcoming him back with open arms anytime soon.

Back when the scandal broke, Pryor was the face of it because he was the quarterback of the team. The smoking gun was when he was seen driving away in a brand new car after practice. What's worse is that he never showed contrition like the other players caught in the scandal did.

Unfortunately, Pryor is not a player that the Buckeyes will be bringing around current players. He just hasn't shown that he loves the university in any way, so it doesn't make sense to do that. His Ohio State football career has turned into a very large shame.

I can see why one might feel that way, but I don't feel bad for him at all. He broke the rules. He encouraged others to do the same. I also get that the transactions that he made seem rather inconsequential in light of the rules today, but I also get that he broke the rules and knew that he was breaking them.

Although he claimed that he was 9 credits short of graduating at one point, I believe that the records will show that he did not even declare a major. So, at the very least, he even wasted the opportunity to set himself up for life after football with a degree.

He could have finished a degree, settled in Columbus and lived off the glory of his time at Ohio State forever. Instead, he chose immediate gratification at the cost of himself and his team. If I recall correctly, even after Tressel called the team together to review NCAA rules, he continued. Seeking to make some outside money, he got his teammates involved. Now, he has convinced others to support his efforts (financially) to hold the NCAA and University accountable in the hopes of a big payday.

I really thought highly of this guy on the field but now, I can only see him as a corrosive, selfish oaf.

I make it to a couple Browns training camps a year, been doing it since 2013. Was at an early camp date in 2016 and watching 2 minute drills wind down. Players were walking up to the crowd, signing autographs, taking pictures, etc etc.



TP walks up to a few people about 10ft from me to start signing gear. One guy busts out Browns cleats for him to autograph and another guy next to him brings up the fact that TPs 5 year ban from University association was over and asked how he felt. He was pleasant enough until, (Verbatim -) "man I was just trying to get a little money, you know?" And said it with half a laugh.



Dude didn't even have the presence of mind to just say that the entire situation was regrettable and the fallout it lead to. Then he goes on to make 10+ mil in an NFL career, not including potential endorsement deals, free team hotels, clothes and meals. But he includes tOSU in his suite because that money just wasn't enough and beginning to repair the fractured relationship with the university didn't seem to mean much to him.



Grateful for TPs contributions, the memories and helping to continue dominance over TTUN plus two huge bowl wins. But..nah, I'm good beyond that. I've met teenagers with more self awareness and graciousness as him.

That backup QB throwing the TD pass to him was fellow future Buckeye, Jordan Hall.
