QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

He actually seemed a lot more comfortable with Lichtenfels than Farrell, which given Farrell's creepiness, is understandable...

Bob L. has been around him for awhile too... He's got a great reputation with PA coaches and kids...

I know people don't like comparisons, but TP's motion reminds me a ton of Vince Young's... Vince tends to sling the ball a lot, and from watching those clips so does Terrelle... He just needs a little coaching up and he'll be fine IMO... I'm not worried about it at all...

Of all the characteristics of Young that could exist in another QB, his motion is just about the last I'd want. Edit: this is not a bash of Pryor, nor Young. I really don't like comparisons either, especially to someone like Young. From what I've seen in clips, Pryor looks like an outstanding high school QB and athlete.
FWIW - my buddy from Va just sent me a link (premium) to a Va site claiming that TP is a "done deal" with Michigan. This is obviously borderline Rumor Mill material, but since it has been posted publicly, I thought people would want to know...

The Commonwealth Board ($)

Mods, if this needs to be moved, feel free.
Your original post was fine, but please don't quote premium info here, despite what some members might request. I moved your second post to the Holding Cell.

As far as the substance goes, I think that Pryor to Michigan would surprise even the most ardent UM supporters. I'm not saying that it won't happen, but most of the signs point to OSU currently, with several other local schools (PSU, UM, ND, WVU, etc.) trying to make up some ground.

Incidentally, the "problem" with Ohio State leading in June is that the competition now has seven months to engage in negative recruiting against the Buckeyes. A long way to go here....

My apologies... I clicked on the link without really reading the post, and missed the obvious notations that it was a premium board. :smash:

Anyway...

The "done deal" talk seems a bit suspicious. Every source (from OSU, PA, UM) that I've heard says that OSU leads, but also indicates that Pryor is much more open (to his other schools) than before.

I'm curious to see if those of you completely ruling us out have any facts to support that, though.

I don't have any concrete proof that came directly out of TP's mouth, but there are several factors at play here... 1.) You have Ryan Mallett in ahead of him for the foreseeable future, 2.) You just offered a QB, and 3.) He's a bad fit for your system...
I know a lot of the Michigan "hype" with TP stems from the fact that his cousin is Toney Clemons, and while I feel you will get an official visit, I don't feel you will end up in the final 3 for his services...
