QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

He definitely gave OSU the best remarks in comparison to every other school. On the other hand... you could tell how he really did not want to interview there.....

Um, are you sure about that? He basically said he liked the coaches at every school. I'm not sure how he "definately" gave OSU the best remarks.

Terrelle is about cool dudes and there is no cooler than Brewster. Hes the money man in my eyes. He will be the reason Pryor committs to OSU. Oh and Tress is a cool dude too.

Agreed, nothing besides the "talking with recruits" remark made us stand out more than the other options. If anything, and if someone really wants to read into what he's saying in the interview, then it might have hurt a little when he stated that it didn't matter to him if he went to a good basketball program. Other than that you could only really tell who his next few teams to be cut will be (USC, ND, Ga Tech, Alabama... in my opinion).

Also I really don't care if he's camera shy, to me thats all the better, because college athletes don't need to be ranting and raving and becoming over confident when they get microphones and big cameras shoved into their faces every other day. Remain humble and a man of few words, and in this P.C. world we're living into today, you can't go wrong. Tressel is excellent at this strategy when the camera's are rolling, and he's shaped quite a few young Bucks into tremendous on-camera speakers, giving them plenty of inner confidence to say the right things (Troy, Hawk, Holmes, Ginn, Gonzo, Carp, etc.).

Finally, to note, if anyone remembers when AJ Hawk was first interviewed by Spielman during the '03 Northwestern game, Hawk was extremely shy... we all know how he turned out. Also the '03 Indiana game when Gonzo and his mom were interviewed about Gonzo's brother playing for IU as a safety at the time and how difficult it would be for their family to pick sides and what not, well, Gonzo wasn't quite the speech-giver he is today. Pryor being camera shy at 17 is the least of my worries in my life right now.

From that interview, it sounds like the teams he is most into are: OSU,PSU,Michigan,Florida,West Virgina, and Georgia Tech. It sounded like, he did not like what ND and Sc were telling him.
I'd agree with the first five, but again I really didn't get the vibe of Ga. tech as you seemed to have. Basically outside of their coaches being "cool dudes" they didn't have anything special that the other schools didn't already have mentioned about them.

Ask anyone that knows...Stoneburner is the real leader of the group...just a really cool kid who the other guys look up to. He and Sweat are the ones you want working on Pryor.

I agree, very well put. As long as he can be a team leader and someone people listen to in the huddle, I'm satisfied.

The news coming out of this camp just gets better everyday. His relationships with the current recruits seem to be steering him our way.

Having watched about 14 different films of Pryor now, he's my favorite prospect this season, I am seeing a couple of things with how he moves. Now, I'm not an expert on recruiting or athletes in general so take this with a grain of salt.

Firstly, his arm strength is outstanding. He has that short, quick, western PA release. Most of you know the reference points there. His follow throw isnt always consistent which means he can only get better with the right coaching and more reps with his mechanics but the ducks come out once in a while on shorter throws. You cant teach his size which is perfect from just about every standpoint and thats the thing I'm noticing the most lately. He seems like he's still growing into his body, which being 17 is pretty much par for the course. His agility and strength have near limitless potential for his position. He is beating everyone on pure instinct and God given talent right now. He already has a very fluid stiff arm; its not devastating but effective enough to keep separation.

He's a monster safety also. He will get just about every jump ball thrown. He can cover alot of ground from side to side and he comes off the corner in a blitz in complete attack mode. His tackling leaves something to be desired but he's not going to be playing defense at the next level anyway.

Unbelievable recruit all the way around. He's also humble and soft spoken, which keeps him out of the "Clarett" mold. Imagine what he'll look like in 2-3 years under Jim Tressel! I've been doing that for about 6 months now.

Mike Farrell is such a ND/Charlie Weis schill. I cannot stand him. Sorry for the rant.

Anyways, back to Terrelle. He looked great in that video, you can definetly see the improvements he's made as a passer. Why on earth any school would recruit him for WR is beyond me. The kid has the arm to play QB, all he needs is more refinement. With his size and athletic ability you are looking at something that could be very special.

He didn't really tip his hand too much, but I think it's safe to say that ND and USC will be dropped pretty soon. I think Alabama and Texas will probably get cut from his list as well.

I still think when he pairs his list down to 5 that the lucky 5 will be OSU, PSU, Michigan, WVU, and Georgia Tech.
