QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Michigan has no shot at getting a commitment, at least for Pryor at QB. I just hope he chooses Pitt or PSU or anywhere but Osu. With the great offensive line already on board this would be a great pickup for Osu.

The Irish forums are a joke IriashCalves. All the members talk alot about how great they are with extreme biased opinions, therefore there is no real good conversations about recruiting. So far you have a great class (and Osu I may add) but there is still along time to go.

Earlier in this thread I pointed out the logical reasons TP should matriculate at tOSU: close to home; good shot at NCs; great OL; recent history of Heisman-winning QB, etc.

The one downside, IMO, for tOSU is that JT and staff will not beg, grovel or over-promise [lie] to recruits the way some coaches will. As the nation's #1 recruit, TP is going to hear how wonderful he is from coaches all over the country these next few months. TOSU's honest, low-key approach could get washed over by a tsunami of bull**** headed TP's way.

Let's hope that he [and the adults advising him] can keep their heads screwed on straight. If they do, he should be a Buckeye.

Hey guys don't u think its a little strange that pryor hasn't said anything about coming to osu to visit during camp or anything like that .Its not like he lives in California its what 3 to 4 hr drive. I mean i want him here more than anyone but i have not heard anything as far as him coming up here. If he has us as one of his top schools. You would think he would be coming up for a look around or to just see what happing. I mean Jenkins is committed to WV and he has been up here more than anyone and WV is not a lot farther. Whats your thoughts on this. Come on terrelle get in the car and come get some buckeye love .

I am sure that whatever he is doing, Brewster and Sweat have been texting him and calling him.

He's probaly busy with the summer basketball circuit.
Probably correct.
Plus, he has attended no camps to this point - anywhere - so it isn't as if we are getting left off, far from it. It has been reported that he expects to make unofficial visits and/or attend camps during the summer months.

Plenty of those left.

Hate to keep quoting the same guy, but as I am in PA and I hear him a lot, I have no choice. But according to Chris Dokish of The Pittsburgh Sports Report on a radio interview the other day, he said that Pryor's advisors feel there is no reason for him to go anywhere and has turned down ever combine and camp, and didn't even bother with the Elite 11 QB camp because his advisors feel there is no need to. They feel he already has his offers and it's pointless to do any of that. His coach apparently isn't a fan of the strong arm tactics of the All-American Bowl, the networks, the national camps, etc.

I don't see why they think he should skip the elite 11 camp. Working with Johnson should only help his play for the future. I hope his advisors don't feel that he has flaws that will be exposed by his participation in these camps.

Two Things:

Not sure where Dokish is getting his info from, as he's wrong about the combine and camp thing. About two months ago, Pyror participated in Steve Clarkston's Air 7 Quarterback camp. The cost to attend was around $500, and Pyror performed very that day.

Three weeks ago, Pyror participated in the Addidas Combine at Gateway High School, which is run by recruits unlimited. Pyror once again did very well, and was the top player there.

That's two camps/combines right there.

Secondly, it makes no sense for Pyror not to attend the Elite 11 camp, as the Air 7 QB camps are really a springboard for the Elite 11. Coach Johnson is one of the best in the business, and could've have helped Pyror better his technique in the passing game. This is the reason why hate the whole advisor thing, as many think their smarter than they really are.

I hope my last comment didn't offend anyone.

Not offended, it just gets hard to read after awhile. :wink2:

From what he was saying, it wasn't that Pryor wouldn't go anywhere, it was that he wouldn't go anywhere if he was doing something else. His coach doesn't want him to be a "professional high school player" according to Dokish and he missed one thing because of the prom, and there were similar things like that. Going to a local thing like Gateway was no big deal and the few things he did have time for they made him pay a lot less just so he could be there. But the Elite 11 tryout, he couldn't make and the coach didn't want him to have to fly to Las Vegas to try out for it and I can't say I blame him. Yes, it would make him a better QB, but a lot of these camps and combines are known to treat these kids like meat and I don't blame the coach for advising his player to not fly across the country to try out for some QB camp. Everybody knows he is one of the best 11 so let him in already.
