QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I watched Pryor most of the open practice today. His passes tend to look ugly(wobly/not a tight spiral) but they seem to be accurate with decent touch. In the scrimmage I would say his performance was good. He wasnt working with the #1team line or receivers and was receiving heavy pressure. He tried to make a run for it a few times but was bottle up well. At least I didnt see a "WOW" play where he used his super secret squirrel speed to outrun the defense but it was only practice I suppose. I believe I only seen a tip of his iceberg and his passing game looked pretty solid.

Black no-contact jerseys would be my guess as to why. It's hard to have the motivation to run when the play will just get called dead, so mostly you have to throw the ball.

Boeckman the clear starter for OSU but Pryor will see action

By Mark Schlabach

CHICAGO -- While Ohio State coach Jim Tressel was watching quarterback Terrelle Pryor play in a high school football game last fall, Buckeyes basketball coach Thad Matta might have offered the first indication of just how good Pryor could be.

"You know what this reminds me of?" Matta said to Tressel, as the coaches sat in a small press box and watched Pryor play for Jeannette (Pa.) High School. "This reminds me of Greg Oden playing against high school basketball players."

Oden, with his 7-foot, 257-pound frame, led the Buckeyes to the 2007 NCAA tournament championship game in his only college season. He left Ohio State after his freshman season and was the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Portland Trailblazers.

Pryor, who was ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the country and No. 4 player overall in the ESPN Top 150, doesn't figure to have such a meteoric rise at Ohio State. He joins a Buckeyes football team that has won three consecutive Big Ten titles and played in each of the past two BCS Championship Games.

It didn't take Tressel long to realize Pryor would be willing to wait to become a star. A few hours after the coach left Pryor's high school game, the highly coveted prospect called Tressel's cell phone.

"He apologized for missing a 35-yard post pattern," Tressel recalled...

Cool pic from coachtressel.com. Pretty sure that's Domicone trying to tackle him.

Dispatch

Now that reporters have had two chances to watch Ohio State practice, the impressions of freshman quarterback Terrelle Pryor are about what you would expect of a top prospect who hasn't had time to absorb all the nuances of his new offense: He's big, talented, impressive and a little raw.
Pryor is a remarkable phy-sical specimen -- that's impossible to miss -- and observers say he has looked amazing in warm-ups, routinely flicking spirals 35 yards to the fingertips of waiting receivers. But he has struggled some, too, underthrowing into double coverage, making some poor option pitches, etc.
It seems to validate theories that have been floated all summer. Pryor likely will be used in situations that take advantage of his skills and complement those of returning starter Todd Boeckman, yet don't force him to do too much, at least for a while.

I would guess that that isn't TP in a red jersey. Could be Booom Herron who was #2 last year. They will probably have to ge that fixed if both are going to see the field this year.
