QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

With Braxton possibly out I'd really like to see someone like Jalin Marshall take a few snaps a game to run a few
My thought earlier. Wanted to ask in the jalin thread a week ago but didn't want any bad juju. Jalin is more similar to Braxton as a qb so though jt would come in a mid fame situation if Braxton goes out for the season would jalin get a shot? That requires less of a game plan change. My guess/hope is no. All I want in a qb is a game manger who will distribute the ball with great accuracy.

I remember stating in a thread that OSU needs to get some good leads early in the season so the backup QB could get in and get reps. I wasn't quite envisioning this!! :yow1:
Get better soon Braxton. We are pullin for ya.

No need. He never redshirted in the first place.

I can't picture him taking a redshirt. The whole idea behind this year was to get his senior season in, develop as much as possible as a passer then head off to the league.

With this new injury, I don't think Braxton redshirts, takes another year to risk another potential injury only to have to stock drop even further.

Only problem is that his stock can't really drop more if he ends up missing the whole year. I honestly never saw him as an NFL level QB and his isn't durable enough to get drafted as an athlete. If he could RS this year and come back 100% healthy next year he could have a shot at working his way into the draft. If he goes pro without playing another snap in college he'll be fighting Troy for a job in Canada.

With as injury prone as he's been coming off a full year... and already question marks around him as a passer... does he have any stock if it's season-long?
Somebody would pick him up as a UFA "athlete" and give him a shot to convert as a WR or something but I can't see him being drafted in this kind of scenario. People were already talking of him as being a late round pick healthy. Missing a large chunk of his Junior year and all of his Senior year... just can't see anyone pulling the trigger.

I have a hope and a question.

My hope is that the "pop" Braxton felt was simply a dislocation and nothing torn.

My question is how does one dislocate a shoulder through a simple throwing motion?

Most likely the muscles around the shoulder weren't as strong as expected. If he was putting some heat on the pass it could be injured similarly to how a pitcher would injure his. Even if no extra damage was done, it will probably be three weeks before he is ready to go.
