I have a hope and a question.
My hope is that the "pop" Braxton felt was simply a dislocation and nothing torn.
My question is how does one dislocate a shoulder through a simple throwing motion?
I've had major shoulder issues and surgery to fix them. Honestly if he did dislocate there is no way he'll be throwing a ball at the NCAA QB level for at least the next 6 months. Luckily I played OL so it didn't matter if I couldn't throw. Luckily for me I just subluxed my throwing shoulder so I was still able to play catch or be on the office softball team. My other shoulder was dislocated and it has never been the same even after surgery. I've had it dislocate or sublux several times after the surgery and between the two my ability to strengthen my shoulders or things like bench press were greatly diminished. I couldn't imagine going from a dislocation to throwing a football 40 yrds with any kind of accuracy in less than a year. Any other position I would say it could be a few weeks to recover enough to play, but not a QB's throwing shoulder.
