The only difference is that they were 1st/2nd round talent coming out. Braxton is kind of an enigma and may be a 4th/5th guy. Could easily slip to the 6th/7th. Maybe even out altogether.

don't want to speculate too much...but if it is a season ender and draft status is a question wouldn't it make sense for him to take a redshirt?

depends on how Barrett does. If Barrett plays solid football there may not be a spot for him. I doubt he'd come back to split time or play backup and there's really no point in transferring.

The decision to stay or go after this season is really only partially based on his own personal feelings.

I agree. But he still could be paid more than a college student. As much as I'd love for him to return and take a redshirt year, it's a real possibility that he could still go to the NfL and be paid. I can bet that his dreAm(like all athletes) is to play at a professional level and not just college.
But in the end, I hope he's able to play and all ends well with OSU winning an NC

disagree, Guiton played pretty well (led us to 2 W's) but yet Braxton never lost his spot...he isn't losing his spot unless Barrett wins us a National Championship
