And all those guys have had less than stellar careers in the NFL. I don't even think White was drafted. VY, is no longer in the NFL. Bradford continues to look like a bust. RG3 looks like he could be special, but so did Newton last year.

Heisman is all about who is an outstanding college football player. Troy Smith, RG3, VY (non-winner) and Sam Bradford all unquestionably qualified, regardless of their NFL careers. As does Geno Smith.

Some college QBs who faced questionable college defenses have thrived in the NFL, while other good NFL signal-callers faced stout D's in college. Predicting NFL success for QBs is a crapshoot.

So, the BTN twits just did the Donovan McNabb/Mike Vick comparison.


Uggh.

Honestly, I see more like a John Elway elite athlete with skew toward run, and away from (as a soph so, can change) accuracy. I think demeanor and how he reads to the run (on scrambles) and confidence level is more similar. (That and that slight knock to do it himself -- which goes back to confidence)

People like to compare him to RG3, but RG3 never only scored 14 points his heisman year. The least amount of points he scored was 24 last year... Smith was at about 50% completion percentage, 275 yards, and only 1 TD.


I'd say Braxton should be the favorite at this point.
