QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Over the past 2 games, I have become more and more impressed with Braxton Miller. More than just a fan view. This kid is tough, talented, and a leader. I hope we fine a way to keep him in the game. I would also like to see more of Kenny Guiton when the game is out of reach. More experience and save our star.

Also Carlos Hyde and Rod Smith look to be a difference maker in a different way.

Hopefully Tom Herman can figure up new schemes in playmaking which will involve more time for Carlos Hyde, just like we witnessed him lining up
at the qb position and Miller coming wide to the right. That was a new wrinkle that i had never seen before. Rod Smith looks like another Eddie George in the making. Now finally we are getting some fresh new horses
in the stabel for Herman to play around with.

Agree, it worked well gaining yardage and saving Miller. Don't need to see it a bunch every game, but maybe 3-5 times will work to help out the rushing game.

Milller impressed me with his toughness once again on Saturday and continued to show the country what a phenom he really is. Just starting to scratch the surface as well. It's incredible.

One thing I do hope to see over the next couple of weeks is more of a development of the passing game against Indiana, Purdue, and PSU. That was something that I was a little disappointed in against Nebraska. The running game was great so you're obviously not going to pass it a lot, but I was hoping he'd take at least 20-25 attempts in the passing game just to keep developing and working with the WRs/TEs. I don't think any game is a gimmie but hopefully they're not in close games in the next couple of weeks which will give him the chance to toss the ball around against Indiana and Purdue.

From the article funny how it begins to ponder if an ineligible team can/should have eligibility for individual awards.

I think it should come into play slightly because of reduced pressure but unless that player did something wrong there is no rational argument that would eliminate him from individual awards.

What the quesiton loosely implies or leads to in conversation is if the player has to be on a conference winning team, is it the best player on the best team award?

Good to see Braxton in number 2.

Odd that the arguments to the effect that Braxton's eligibility has nothing to do with the team's sanctions come from pundits in Detroit and Louisiana.

Simply The Best

To me it's Braxton over Geno because BM is basically doing his thing on his own... not relying one someone to catch it and get major YAC. Miller's Heisman obstacle isn't just Smith... it's that he's a Sophomore and a lock for it next year. The committee doesn't want to see anyone else win it twice.

Firstly, the committee doesn't have say over the voters' votes. And secondly, that didn't stop them from voting for Tebow a few years back.

Tebow and Bradford won it as sophomores in back to back seasons.
