Inconsistant at times in terms of getting rid of the ball and living to see another down.

However when he makes a play, he makes a BIG play! He has the flash of Smith, the toughness of Krenzel, and the legs of Pryor. He will be a great one to see mature over the season.

Ummm, okay? You must have not watched the game. The boy lowers his head instead of running out of bounds (toughness). He obviously can ru ndid you not see the scamper and double step to score a TD? And the boy can dance around the pocket.

Never said he was legendary, calm down bud, no need to get all "antsy". lol

I thought Braxton tried to do too much early in the game. I'm not sure I like him toting the ball like D-Robinson...if he does I don't see him making it through the year without getting hurt.

That beings said, For his first game of his sophomore year with a brand new offense I don't think anyone can deny that this is going to be an exciting couple of years.

This. He can make all the throws. He'll continue to grow leaps and bounds under this coaching staff. Two of his throws today stood out to me. One was on a third down where he zipped one on a rope in the middle to Philly. The other was the touch pass to Philly that went for big yards. Gonna get more consistent with every game.

Miller looked as expected today. He made some amazing plays and still showed that he has a lot of work to do on the passing game. That's about where I'd think a talented Sophomore in his first game would be. Once he can get more game reps, calm down and set himself before he throws, he will be extremely dangerous and capable of picking defenses apart. He has so much potential, just glad he's a Buckeye.

Also, when I looked at the stats I was a bit surprised. I knew that he had some good runs but to have a 200/150 game in your first start as a sophomore is telling. Miller, as mentioned before, is a perfect fit for this offense and after seeing what he did today he is definitely going to have a lot of huge games during the rest of his career.

For those who say his passing has improved a lot, I disagree. While he was better in the second half, he looked virtually unchanged from last year during the first half. He was shot-putting a lot of throws and was inaccurate. Still, it was the first game of the season and he did start throwing a little better in the second half, so I'll just write it off as first-game-rust.

My impression is that it is the deep ball that Braxton struggles with most. His timing routes and passing over the middle seem pretty accurate. It's sort of the opposite of the problems Pryor had.

I agree with this assessment and was glad to see that his throws were in the area that they needed to be. Most throws were high as opposed to being at the receivers feet, which may have just been the excitement of the first game of the season. I really liked the zip he put on one of the passes right over the middle and past a defender at one point.

His command of the offense also seemed to be very good, especially with a new offense this year. There didn't seem to be any hesitation with where the play was going and who needed to be where. There were no issues with getting the snap off or issues with exchanges that I recall either. All in all a solid first game from a command standpoint.
