QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Like most young QBs, Braxton is very reluctant to throw to a guy who isn't already open, as it's clear he's been coached to above all, keep possession of the ball. With that said, he's often late throwing to guys going over the middle. Specifically to Stoney. He waits until the guy is open, which is often too late because now there is new coverage and also the line can only block for so long. This doesn't concern me because I'm sure that part of his game will develop. It has already gotten better than it was during the MSU game.
The only concern I have is his health. He takes a lot of shots and gets dinged a lot.

agreed. I do not like seeing him run more than 12-15 times a game. He needs to keep progressing. I'm for a more simplified short passing attack to the RB's and TE's but what do I know.

I think I saw in the Bengals game something like three straight quick slants. Jay has really helped Andy Dalton evolve as a QB, and he's simplified the passing game. I feel once we get Posey back, Braxton's going to have a receiver that can run the simpler routes, make some moves, and get the YAC for big plays and just start boosting his confidence early in the passing game. And what better time than Penn State?

There has been definite improvement in the passing game, which will hopefully continue. Thanks for the insights.

Haven't seen it, personally. Not blaming Brax, but our passing attack remains execrable.

Feel like Brax showed improvement between the MSU & Wisconsin games. The passing was difficult to watch during the MSU game, but it was at least palatable during the Wisconsin game.

Selfishly, I hope Posey red-shirts at this point...
