what a game by miller

the TD run on 4th down where he embarrassed the defender with a move to get to the end zone

the 44 yard TD run

then the all so clutch TD pass with time winding down

suck it Bucky

Freshman of the Week is good, but how did he not get Player of the Week?

I'm not going to say "so-and-so was better," because I don't know the answer. But I'd imagine that there was someone with better stats than 89 passing, 1 TD, 99 rushing, 2 TDs.

Don't get too bent out of shape about the XXX of the week/year/decade. Remember that Tressel never won Coach of the Year. Ferentz won it a couple of times. Give me the wins and the Championships - you can keep your CoY awards.

The stats specifically shouldn't make the award, and I'm sure they often take the other things into account, but the way he came out and played that game and won as an underdog at home, carrying his team...... that was brilliant. I'm not bent out of shape by any means but I'd have thought they would give it to him this week because of the huge win.

What's interesting is that Braxton officially started at QB at game 4... Same one as Pryor did in his freshman year, AFAIK. So their stats at OSU are going to arguably be directly comparable to one another.

Braxton after 6 starts:

4-2 record
28/58 for 395yds, 5 TDs, 2 INTs
81 Rushes for 381yds, 4 TDs

Pryor after 6 starts:

5-1 record
64/98 for 792yds, 6 TDs, 3 INTs
72 Rushes for 288yds, 4 TDs

Miller is really showing off some great running ability. I just wish they could get him into a rhythm passing the ball. I really want to see him have at least one game were he gets +150 passing yards.

He has a good arm and zipped in some passes today. Dissapointed that he couldn't get some more passing reps.

Still, overall a good performance by him, hopefully as the season goes on he can learn to avoid taking those 8-9 yard sacks, but a lot of frosh end up taking those when pressured. Better than throwing INTs.
