QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

I realize it's rather odd, but one of my favorite plays last night was when he slid after the first down. To me, it showed that the game has slowed down for him, and he's able to consider multiple alternatives now. Awesome.

I also have to give him credit for filling the emergency ward at the hospital with all those broken ankles.

I saw and thought that too. That was about the first time I can remember him sliding this yr. Each game he's maturing and becoming more and more aware.

And what adds to it all is his demeanor on the field, on the sidelines -- it's not all about him. Nice to see in these parts.

True, he appeared cool as a cucumber over on the sidelines until the final ball dropped to the turf...then he let the big smile fly. I've yet to see him get fired up in people's grills yet though...granted he's a frosh and he's just getting his feet wet.

I've said it before while he was still in HS, the still remains true. When this kid is confident, he's unstoppable. I can't wait to see him progress as a QB.

I noticed several times when the camera had a face shot on him standing behind the LOS slowly looking over the defense before calling the snap cadence...he looked completely relaxed, focused, and unphased...totally 180-degree opposite of just a month ago. Folks have made comments here and on Facebook about "look out in 2013" and "he's going to be great next year". Forget that. If he continues to progress like he is now, he'll be great by the time he steps foot in The Pig House in a month.

Troy Smith, 3-0. Terelle Pryor, 3-0. Braxton Miller, ... ?

This is an important trend that Braxton needs to continue! :)
