QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

Word from an inside team source claiming Troy Smith has been kicked of the team. This is unofficial and not verified but I suspect it will be announced shortly. Anyone else heard anything?
WOW, that's a big rumor to start for a first time poster!

02Rover started the thread on BN at 2:54 p.m., and three minutes later a newbie "wadegarrett" who just happened to register today makes his first BP post on the same subject. 02Rover said "read it on another message board and the rumor is it isnt good", so since he started his thread before wadegarrett started this one, we may assume the original source thread is on BSB.

(edit)

newtown27 started a thread on BN saying Smith is out due to academics...

That sucks, well I guess that it gives Zwick a chance to get right back in the mix. If Smith loses the job now, it is simply his fault, he was given all the opportunity in the world.

but can't we suspend him for a game against Kent State or someone next season...

I don't think it's a good idea to hold off a suspension for next season, especially with the amount of bad press we have gotten lately.

This ain't Michigan.

This really is bad, because if Zwick gets hurt, we have to choose between burning Boeckman's redshirt simply for a mid-tier bowl game or letting walk-ons QB the team.
