QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

In my thesaurus, Flourish has nothing to do with turnovers.

Nor mine.

14 of 29 (48%) for 192 yards, 1 PaTD, 3 INT, 62 yards rushing, 1 RuTD, 3 sacks.

It's certainly not the worst performance we've seen from a QB this year, but "flourish"? Throw over 50%, for 250+ yards, and reverse those TD/INT numbers, and that's a flourish maybe. Well, according to our standards it is.

Why do I feel like it's impossible to read anything online anymore that doesn't have some ridiculous slant to it?

One thing has become clear to me this season. I must not understand the game, because it seems week in and week out, I don't see what the "experts" do.

I honestly think the problem is most people have low expectations when it comes to the Buckeye offense these days. Just like Troy didn't "light it up" against Penn State I hardly think he "flourished" against Purdue but when you have one of the worst statistical offenses in college football I suppose even the slightest semblance of an offense is glorified.

Lol, that could well be.

It's is _ichigan week and we are 6-4 and we have a chance to beat _ichigan. Troy is going to get his chance to open the play book, I bet. I hope to see Ginn throw a TD pass to Smith

Yep my bad we are 6-4 not 6-3, it is 2am and I am an idiot. :!

He certainly did not "flourish" at Purdue, but I did get the feeling during the 4th quarter that Purdue couldn't stop our offense. Unfortunately, with us shooting ourselves in the foot, they didn't have to.

No I wouldn't call it flourishing either, but I still feel comfortable with Troy back there..... Only reason was 3 of the Turnovers in the game shouldn't of been. 1 Dropped fumble by Pittman (even though it was a late pitch). 2 Int's that could've/should've been caught.

You know this is kinda sad and all but I guess I'll share..... the past few weeks our offense hasn't really scored more than 14 points. Because special teams has done it all pretty much. The thing is we didn't score special teams points but rather 17 offensive points. I hope thats why there excited about 17 points?? either or its still sad to get excited over 17 points....
