I don't understand why the reason he skipped class in this case is a big deal. Did he receive any improper benefits? I don't think so. So in the NCAA's mind if I'm an athlete and skip class to go to the strip club, play X-box, go golfing, etc. that's ok. But I go help out in a charitable sort of way (even though professional athletes are involved), I do not receive any improper benefits, and that is not OK!!! I just don't understand! Skipping class is still skipping class whatever the reason. The NCAA has their collective heads up their butts!exhawg said:This isn't about skipping class. The trouble is why he skipped class. If he had skipped class to say home and play Xbox this wouldn't be an NCAA issue.
I'm not saying the NCAA is right, I'm just saying that the NCAA is involved because he missed class for the camp. If JT found out that he had skipped class for golf or video games it would be an internal team matter that we would never hear about.Wingate1217 said:I don't understand why the reason he skipped class in this case is a big deal. Did he miss one class, a day of classes, or a series of classes throughout the week. Again what grade did he earn!!! Many times I didn't go to a class but a couple of times and received an "A" because I studied my a$$ off. I know the rule is in place to insure that athlete's earn their grades by going to class, but their has to be a voice of common sense here. Oh, I forgot we are dealing with the NCAA...guess that is a lost cause.
Yeah, that and the fact that your d*** got stuck to your jessica Alba poster! :)methomps said:I skipped class today in protest of the NCAA's petty nature, bloated rulebook, and cold hypocrisy.
