Maybe someone who is more familiar with QB technique can correct me but I saw a lot of "happy feet" from TB last night.. a lot.

This is something they've done all year that baffles me a bit because it is so out of character for JT. He never showed Krenzel the confidence he has shown TB this year.
While I'm not a talent evaluator the skill set for TB is there but he hesitates on nearly every throw. I think he very well might be a great QB next year and possibly beyond but why ride him in the biggest game of the year?

If Pryor does Commit to OSU do you think Boeckman will still start? I really tried to trust Todd and kept telling myself he could do it. But he is just NOT a big game QB. He over throws, he underthrows, and he doesn't seem to see the field. his frantic scrambles will most likely give me a heart attack. I dont know If I can watch this guy 13 more times. I am not blaming the whole game on Todd, our defense was obviously a key factor in that.

I have no idea how the QB situation will unfold next year but I am sure that JT will be loyal to TB as long as he can justify it. I see a situation unfolding similar to 05 where whomever unseats TB will have to prove they are the man beyond a shadow of a doubt.

It was said at the begining of this year and I'll reiterate it for next year. JT will play who gives him the best chance to win. He started That running back that shall not be named as a freshman over incumbants Lydell Ross and Mo Hall. He will play whoever he feels will make us most dangerous.

If that is Todd he will play same goes for Henton, if we get Pryor, or even Bauserman. I would even be willing to throw Robby in there, but I don't forsee him coming back to the QB Position. I feel like he is a good fit at TE, especially since we are only bringing in one true tight end.

In conclusion, if all things are equal, the experienced man will play, but if not, another QB will get the shot.

I think the underthrow was due to the fact that he was getting hit at the time. But that was a great play by the CB to catch that ball.

While I agree with most of the analysis on TB last night, I think the major factor was one of two things. Either 1) The WR's were not getting open or 2) TB was not making the correct reads to find the open WR

Cuz TB had time to throw most of the game, but he held onto the ball way too long. He had to get it out quicker or at least dump it off.

Todd will most likely start next year though I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of 2-quarterbacking going on (I'm not commenting on Pryor as he is not (yet?) a Buckeye).

Todd did not lose the game for us. He made some mistakes of course, but he really did not have a lot of time for the most part of the game. As BuckeyeScott said, I did not see a TE, a dump off, or a screen anywhere. Those plays have work well in the past and helps take the pressure off Todd. A screen to Saine would have worked really well I think. Everyone said we were going to us Todd and Henton last night and it never happened, so I do not think IF we get Proyer, a 2-qauterback system will happen. In 2005 (hope that is the right year) we used Troy Smith and Justin Zwick against Texas, that did not really work.
He is a first year starter replacing a Heisman Trophy winner, only lost 1 regular season, Big Ten Title, and a Trip to the National Title Game. He did pretty well.

Agree for the most part, i dont think i even saw our TE's all game, which i thought was weird. However, you cant really compare Smith/Zwick system to the possibility of a Boeckman/Pryor system (if we get him, bc who knows at this point). With Boeckman playing consistent and throwing the deep ball well and Pryor coming in to add the occasional spark and option threat with his talent...wow, just flat out scary. Oh yea, and i think we have a decent tailback too, what's his name? Wells :biggrin: I also add the fact our oline should be solid again next year, so Boeckman should be pretty comfortable, which is when hes at his best.

agreed, you can't compare smith/ zwick because at the time we just didn't know what quarterback to use..i see the possible combo of boeckman/pryor to be more organized, with specific sets for pryor to come in and do his thing.

Good point! organizing packages for each player will be key. This is a possiblity. What if we had a set for Boeckman working with beanie, big passer with power runner. A package for Proyer and Saine, llinois/West Virginia style. That lines our speedy back field together and our power back field together. The option would be key in the Proyer/Saine.

last night showed that Boeckman sometimes holds on to the ball way to long, as just about every time he was hit behind the line he fumbled, a couple times it seemed he just held on way to long and just got himself in more trouble
