I believe entering the transfer portal doesn’t necessarily mean the player is transferring but that is a step in the process.

And as @MD Buckeye posted schools he is looking at, I immediately thought of Miami when I saw Bolden is transferring there as well.

Edit: looks like @NorthCoastKid beat MD to it. Slacking MD...

True, buy why even enter the portal if you have no real intention of transferring? Tate has to know that the staff will see this and could effect how they evaluate him.

If he transfers before the competition with as much trash he talked on Twitter it's a bad look for him.

Baldwin received rave reviews during bowl practice and articles were written about him pushing Martell even before Fields entered the picture, right?

other players are already clowning on him for it...

I agree explore your options, I wish for his sake given the current environment it could have been in private but that doesn’t get the NCAA any extra publicity

Really bums me out. I feel Fields will lead us to higher levels, but damn it I loved Tater. Oh what could have been.

All the (baited) talk that Tater did, he had to, that's him. But the reality set in that he needs to position himself properly if he wants to QB big time football. He should be able to get a "guaranteed" starting job at a good program.
