The writing was on the wall....

Fields is one of the best QB prospects of all time and he’s a lock to be eligible next year (will be confirmed in Feb). Fields is as good of an athlete, with better size, and a much better thrower of the ball. He was an Elite 11 MVP which is damn impressive for a guy who can also effectively execute zone read. He’s the total package.

And not to beat the drum too loud, but Fields wasn’t coming to OSU to potentially start. He came here to be the next guy....and I don’t care what anybody says...he had assurances. And I’m OK with it.

Good luck to Tate and also good work by him. If my information is accurate, he will not have to sit out a year, as he will have completed his undergrad course load by next semester. So he can pick a school and enroll after he graduates, and be eligible to play by next football season.

Selfishly, I’d love to see him link up with Kendal Briles at FSU.

The Day > Kelly connection.

The obvious fit in Kelly’s system.

The current garbage on the UCLA roster.

And although it might not be a factor at all, it’s a lot closer to Vegas.

Obviously just guessing about what’s in the mind of a 20 year old BMOC...but I think that he has the will to compete but obviously wants to keep his options open in case he loses the battle to someone who is going to be here for at least 2 years.

Agreed... I dislike the very public nature of this portal... if he wants to tell the world thats on him.... give that this is now public he and any “major” player that enters almost has to transfer because its basically Cortez burning the ships with public perception.

I fully support him takin care of him... He’ll graduate from The Ohio State in May and it sounds like he is explore where might be the best landing place for him if he doesn’t win ... again .. just wish it wasn’t public.
