So lost in my feeling bad for Tate with the whole Fields transfer is that he was only the heir apparent after Haskins because he was 3rd after Spring ball last year. If not for Burrow transferring out, it would be 1. Burrow, 2. Tate instead of 1. Fields, 2. Tate (obviously with assumptions about Fields winning the job). So I don't feel as bad as I did at the beginning of this.

edit: just because he’s in the portal doesn’t mean he will, I think it means others can talk to him ... If he feels like he will transfer if he doesn’t win it would make sense to get a head start... the real question is did Burrows do something like this or not.... last year there wasn’t the “portal tracking”
