So you listen to the infrequent sideline commentary, but we're foolish to listen to the guys who talk 99% of the time. Got it.

but the things the sideline reporters say has so much more substance behind it

I particularly like it when Barbie is listening to some mindless coach's blather on his way into the locker room. She'll put on her serious face, wrinkle her forward and give these solemn little nods as if listening to Nelson Mandela. She's a serious jernalist.

They aren't mutually exclusive concepts.

Obviously I hated the vitriol just like the rest, but it wasn't just scripted propaganda, it was hateful blather that erased the contest itself.

Their crusade wasn't just unfair, it was so overboard that they weren't even broadcasting the game like they were supposed to do.

I didn't say they were mutually exclusive. You said that their disrespect of 'the other' OSU was the "most objectionable" part.

I found that objectionable. :wink2:

I think she has two of those. Probably should have gone with the plural.

Man, when it comes to putting words in someone's mouth, you're the champ, Josh.

You're not foolish to listen; you're foolish beyond words to get seriously [censored]ed off because of what you hear.

Many would say you're foolish beyond words to get seriously pissed off because of a silly game at all, yet I'm guessing you're guilty of that too like me.

Overall I agree with your premise, I've learned to avoid that channel when I can help it, but broadcasts are pretty difficult to avoid. If only Paul Keels could be synced with the game broadcast :(

As opposed to constantly taking issue with dozens of things people take issue with

This is why I go to the home games and drink during the away games.

Particularly since the TV feed has a built in delay, then a delay being relayed through the broadcast system, and often another delay if it is being archived on the DVR (whether recorded or not).
