All it says is fake buckeye. No mention of KH.

Most people on this board are more Buckeye than Herbie. Just sayin'.

Here we go.

Herbie's getting paid a lot to talk from a script. People take what he says way too personally. It's ESPN, an entertainment organization. He quarterbacked the Buckeyes - he's lived what we all dream of. He's all Buckeye. No question about it.

I'm not going to deny it. I'd love to have his job. He gets to travel around the country, talk about football and go to the biggest game in-person every week. He gets access to coaches and players and all the sweet stuff that comes with an ESPN press pass. He just can't be a homer. Has he gone overboard sometimes? Yes. But it's ridiculous to think he's not a Buckeye.

Sometimes I wonder it you KH haters have ever held down a job and had an employer who had expectations of you.
He does his job well, he is a loyal Buckeye and obviously a lot smarter than you all.

Well said. He can say what he wants to say based on what he sees. I don't know what Herbie said, but if he said that TP makes lots of mistakes... he's not wrong.

TP makes tons of plays too. but at times makes dumb plays too.

TP needs to calm down and take some of that criticism to heart. He has regressed this year, imo, and deserves a little criticism. He's the qb at Ohio State and didn't play well yesterday. What does he think people are going to say?

And he gets to hang out with her all week and weekend. Just sayin'.

KH was giving an end game analysis and was very critical of the way TP "yells" at the coaches and players and needed to find other ways to be a leader. I think that is what started all the drama.

Herbie is right about this. TP does not display leadership to me. Of course we only see about 3% of his actions on gamedays. So perhaps he is doing his leading off the game field. But he needs to do a better job of balancing his fire with control. That's what maturing does to people.

I'd been ultra critical of Herbie the way he took shots at Tressel in the 2003 thru 2004 era. But looking back at it, Herbie was right. JT's offensive philosophy wasn't showing much in the way of excellence. I think JT took some of that to heart. But I think Herbie wants to see Pryor succeed and is trying to point out what he thinks are his biggest areas of need.

1. I admire the heck out of Kirk Herbstreit. I've never understood why "fans" think Herbie needs to be full-time fawning over the outstandingness of everything Buckeye in order to be a full-time Buckeye. In my experience, those "fans" who complain loudest about Herbie are often those who complain loudest about Buckeye players and coaches - which is ironic.

2. Herbstreit isn't infallible. Nor do I agree with everything he says. (These two comments are related but not identical.)

3. Terrelle Pryor has limitations as both a leader and as a quarterback. But those limitations are set at a really, really high level.

4. No matter the level of one's excellence, there is always room for improvement.

JT needs to coach Pryor into censoring his thoughts a bit. He tends to speak his mind a bit too much. In his position, not a great idea sometimes

From reading all the things here... TP has long ways to go on being a leader and a better man. He is very young. He has time.

But he is one hell of a football player. makes mistakes, but good football player.
