Jeremiah Masoli? Really, Herbie?

Just cause he may not play due to his own stupidity - it doesn't take away that he IS an explosive player. He'd definitely be in the Heisman talk if this past off-season didn't go down the way it did.
I can think of a handful more "explosive" players off the top of my head to include a QB in Columbus.

I'm not disagreeing with that either - i'm just saying I can see why Herbie included him. He was the most explosive player on one of the most explosive offenses in the country last year.

But, I think a lot of it has to do with the quality of defenses these "explosive" offenses play. Examples being Oregon last year and Oklahoma the year before that. Both of which had their offenses shut down for the most part when playing a quality defense come January.

Pryor isn't really a homerun threat, though. Sure, he can toss a deep ball now and then, but he doesn't really break long TD runs. That being said, he can reliably pick up 6-12 yards and convert 3rd downs like nobody else. That's usually not what people mean by explosive plays, though.

Pryor broke a lot more long runs as a freshman because he wasn't saddled with a ton of injuries that season.

Either way, if Pryor doesn't count as a homerun threat, then Masoli certainly does not, as his running ability is significantly behind TP's.

No argument there. Just calling 'em like I see 'em.
