QB Kirk Herbstreit (Frosted Quips)

Herbie is an idiot...responding to 17 year old kids on twitter is beyond immature...

However the responses from the kid in question reveals as much about himself and why

based on what i have witnessed i agree 100% and think this speaks more about the kid than it does Frosty Tips. I have been on the record as saying the kid's talent doesn't outweigh the sideshow he brings to the table. Twice last season he got hit with multiple peronal fouls and unsportmanlike penalties and had to have his hand held by Krause (head coach at Fairfield) to apologize for his antics to players and opposing coaches. We are not talking about playing nasty to the whistle...we are talking about cheap shots ans crotch grabbing and trying to fight coaches. It is way too easy to get in this kid's head to unbance him. Just my opinion.
not a fan of his hair either and I agree with all you just mentioned. Just don't care where he ends up I really dont

There is no lack of maturity a kid can show (and it seems as he's showing it, no doubt) that can come close to seeing a 50 year old man engage in a pissing match with a teenager on twitter.

It's fucking embarrassing

“I just thought it was really inappropriate for a guy that's being recruited by a school to publicly say, 'Get that bozo out, get that guy in. Let him ball.' Like reality check, kid. Who are you,” Herbstreit asked. “And then he says he’s gonna go to Clemson or USC. Good, that would be a great decision for you. I think it’d be better for Urban Meyer to not have a guy like that on his roster. I just think the kid is full of himself.”

Yeah you know I totally disagree. Like it or not Twitter is like the corner ice cream shop in the 1950s. It's where people interact today. And as much as I hate to admit it, I absolutely agree with his comments. Check your ego Carman. You don't talk smack about the leader of your home state school. (And calling for him to be benched is absolutely talking smack)

Calling out players (and therefore coaches too) at a school you are supposedly interested in? That's talking WAY out of turn and I'm glad Herbie smacked him. I'd have said same thing.

His direct quote was "OSU game this last weekend, they need to put my boy 'Haskins' in and let him work"....

The problem, IMO, is Herbie paraphrasing Carman on national radio, and claiming he called him a "bozo". He didn't come anywhere near that and that's disgraceful because it leads the casual fan to think Carman was being personal and directly disrespectful to JT.

He wasn't.....he showed support for what he thought Haskins could do. He didn't name call Barrett, or come anywhere near calling him a "bozo".

Herbie strikes again.....

I don't care if it's 1950, 1850 or 2050 if you, as a 50+ year old man, find yourself hanging out at the same place teenagers hang out then you need to reflect on things.

Why not head on down to where the elementary school kids hang out and get in the middle of arguments over who is a big fat poopy head and who isn't?

Kids do their thing, adults do theirs.
