I happen to agree with Jake.
Anyone would be defensive if a guy they went "all in" on turned out to be not what they expected. Hence why all of us are so upset.
Do I agree that Kirk has not taken the high road on some this, "yes", is he mostly correct in this interview, I believe so.
You cannot tell me that Terrelle Pryor has not had problems following him since his delayed signingto OSU?
If Tressel survives all of this, I'd be shocked.
Maybe if he had any credibility, I might cut him some slack with this "well some of what he says is true" excuse.
But with a long history of emotional and antagonistic exaggerations, he doesn't get that benefit of the doubt.
If buckeye fans only care about beating Michigan, why have many of them disliked Pryor lver the years, long before this stuff surfaced? Or simpler yet, if Herbie's latest lazy characterization were true, how come that blind homerism doesn't apply to him?
It is a stupid, intentionally abrasive comment that Disney knows will generate major ratings. That is why blunt, harsh but fair Spielman is a small time ESPN analyst, and May, Herbie and Cowherd are premiere personalities.
There is a huge variety of responses. Homerism, sadness, forgiveness, anger, betrayal, lust for justice, etc. Many feel a lot of these at the same time, and there are a variety of feelings on what to do about it, many of which think JT should move on.
To insult the fanbase as mindless dolts who accept his cheating as long as he wins is easily his second worst insult towards OSU, the first being the kids he slandered with zero apology.
