No argument from me there but being the high profile/QB you know Pryor is going to be the lightning rod right, wrong or indifferent. I don't feel sorry for him if he catches hell rightfully meant for others.

There is a difference, I addressed that in the second post I made on this topic. There are still plenty of blind followers who think he was right and that everyone is out to get us.

yea, i just take issue with herbie's statement that he's trying to lump in the entire fanbase when I believe the majority know's what he did was wrong

I disagree with the blanket statement as well but I'd be shy about saying the majority aren't in some stage of denial even now.

I'm surprised he didn't criticize OSU/B1G for not signing enough 5-star speedy athletes in the next sentence. KH is so 2-faced. MC and TP could have punched their ticket anywhere they wanted.

So when does Herbstreit criticize USC and Auburn for recruiting guys like Bush and Newton? I'm sure ESPiN has asked KH for his opinion on both matters in the past. I must have missed his personal attacks on Bush and Newton.

KH sure liked Clarett when he pimped him out on the Gameday set in 2003.

But seriously, contrast his appearance with that of Chris Spielman. One is employed to be a personality, one is employed to be an analyst. One of those professions takes intelligence, the ability to be objective, and think for yourself...one takes the ability to read a script, a tan, and the the ability to regurgitate what your employer says will grab ratings. I'll let you decide who is what.

In the notice today it mentioned that players past (unnamed) also had connections to this Rife guy and were selling merchandise. Hell even Boom, 2 years Pryor's senior agewise, was in on it. Don't recruit guys like Clarett and Pryor? Herbie, FYI, you can't tell who are going to be the bad seeds just by a guessing game.

Even comparing Pryor, who's had no problems prior to this, to a convicted felon like Maurice Clarett just smacks of reaching to me.

I wonder if Tressel should avoid recruiting players like Troy Smith in the future as well?

Suggesting that it is possible to recruit a team of 85 eighteen year old kids that won't make any mistakes is moronic and hypocritical at best.

I want to win National Championships with out players who rape and punch women or steal shit (for the most part this has been the case)....I dont care if its with Tress or not.....I follow Ohio State blindly....I hope Tress gets through this but if not and it means the program stays unscathed...... I sleep well at night. Spare me the sanctamonious bullshit though, Im alum my mom works for he hospital and everything I have in my life can be traced back to tOSU....I dont give a fuck what the media is saying about the University needing to save face...The University will be fine no matter the outcome Pat Forde and Herbnotstraight can fuck off

as for football I want to have my team win
