QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

Might just be the best QB on this team. I'm not sure what happens in practice that counters what Kenny can do in a game but it's a shame. At this point I can't say "playmaker ability" is something he is behind in. The whole "lesser competition" argument is also bothersome when I consider just how much better this offense ran with KG in. I love Brax, but I don't think Kenny gets confused by what the Northwestern defense did tonight.

I liked Kenny from the day he signed his LOI. I think he is a good QB that could start for most teams. You still can't overlook that he has beaten San Diego St, Cal and Florida A&M. Not quite Wisconsin and Northwestern. If in two weeks the offense struggles against Iowa, then you might have to rethink things.

I don't think you can pull the starting QB of an undefeated team because the offense is not lighting up the scoreboard. There have been many OSU teams in the past where you would have loved them to put up 40 points every game?

The problem, if there is one on this team, is that the defense is giving up 24 to 30 points. We can save that for another thread.

No, but I can say they were all improvements over Buffalo. Remember the first half against FAMU for for a second and consider that it lead to taking it easy on them the second half. First half records aside I thought Kenny put on a true clinic in the second half. Watching Hyde and Smith get killed by the DE last night I couldn't help but think Kenny makes that read correctly.

I honestly don't know what offensive struggles against Iowa might look like

But pulling one of the top QB's in the country that is lighting up the scoreboard makes sense? Don't get me wrong here I understand that a healthy Braxton is the starter, most of the time. Being healthy however means that he has his play making ability and you can excuse a couple bad reads now and then. Without being healthy however all things are equal, and with all things being equal, Kenny is the best QB we have. Believe me when I say I want Brax to be other worldly out there. I saw that hitch in his giddy up against Wisconsin but I was hoping that he was just trying to prove he was a "real" QB and not an athlete that could throw. Northwestern put the pressure on his ability to make the correct read, and his knee last night. I guess it's just a matter of opinion on how they fared.

Sure when your defense only gives up 13 points.

True statement here. What's bad is that I had hoped our offense would force team to become one dimensional. I didn't expect opponents to do it by choice.

FAMU is 1-4 and 0-1 in the MEAC conference. Cal gave up 30 points to Portland St. and only muster 37 points against them. You can't compare either of them to Wisconsin and Northwestern.

The miscues that happened on offense had nothing to do with the caliber of team they were playing against.

At the same time, we also need to remember, this was Miller's first road game of the season.

I wasn't comparing the opponents, just the decisions. It doesn't matter who is playing QB or who we are playing, the right decisions is the right decision.

Have you ever heard someone ask how another is doing and the response was something like "Just good enough to get myself into trouble."? That's kinda like how I feel about Braxton right now. I just don't see how his knee is fine at the moment because last year he was good enough to get himself out of trouble too....easily...and for a score. I do think Kenny would get into a little less trouble to begin with. I'm not saying that Kenny would get any more yards rushing than Brax did either, but the "move" he would have made on defenders would of at least been a little more exaggerated.

EDIT: Braxton did have some filthy play fakes tho.
