QB Jack Miller (transfer to Florida)

Ohio State football backup quarterback Jack Miller III pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless operation during his Thursday court appearance for an original citation of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to online court records, a charge of driving in marked lanes was also dismissed in Franklin County Municipal Court. Miller paid a $150 fine. The original OVI charge was classified as a first-degree misdemeanor, but the reckless operation charge is a minor misdemeanor.

Lesson for young people — this is why you never blow unless you’re absolutely 100% sure you’ve had no alcohol. Get a good lawyer and they can get it down to a reduced charge of reckless op. You shouldn’t drink and drive but we all know that some of you will. Think about how you’ll handle it ahead of time.

If you happen to be a college kid with a credit card. I didn’t have one. But then I lived on campus and just walked to/from campus bars and parties. Never needed to get behind the wheel.

I assume you also weren't a football player with an NIL deal. I call BS on any collegiate athlete that can't afford an UBER! And even without NIL, Miller's family can DEFINITELY afford a CC for him...

I've got a scar along an eyebrow to show for trying to walk home drunk, not knowing what I was doing being raised in the south, and bouncing the side of my face off of a patch of frozen sidewalk in front of Buckeye Donuts.
I got a similar scar for running full blast into a fence when I was about 10 or 11. At least yours sounds more reasonable...

Walking home from parties drunk was a shitty experience with ice out. Or sober honestly. No scar, but I ate shit on that campus so many times. Side note - did you at least get something at Buckeye Donuts after? That place was a staple of my college existence, I went back this year and still sooooo damn good.

But on Jack, he smarter in the future. I get how it should be taken seriously, but also believe in second chances and letting young people learn from mistakes.
