QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

Of course they don't. But elite QBs still produce.

And Brady is a horrible example. He's had great protection for 2 years of his career. He's the greatest ever at decifering where to put the ball in 1.5 seconds, and getting it there.
What? How is that a horrible example? You said that elite QBs produce under consistent pressure. I pointed out that even elite QBs need time to throw and Brady didn't get it that game. Thus the Pats lose.

Like, wtf are you even talking about?

And most QBs aren't going to look great when they're consistently pressured. Ask Tom Brady in 2015 when the Broncos were living in the backfield all game.

If you're going to compare JT to Brady, then at least, keep it at the same level.
Here's his illustrious collegiate stats: https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tom-brady-1.html

Brady hasn't had great protection in his career, but has performed great anyways. So has Aaron Rogers. So did Jameous Winston at FSU.

I was just looking at some single season passing records to see what JT would have to do to end up on top of a few more lists/break his own records.

Right now, JT has thrown for 2,557 yards and 30 TDs and rushed for 583 yards and 7 TDs. That's 3,140 yards of total offense and 37 TDs.

Below are the current single season records:

Passing Yards: 3,330 - Joe Germaine (1998)
- Needs 260 yards per game in 3, or 195 yards per game in 4.
Passing TDs: 34 - JT Barrett (2014)

Total Yardage: 3,772 - JT Barrett (2014)

- Needs 211 per game in 3, or 159 per game in 4.
Total TDs: 45 - JT Barrett (2014)

Absolutely. I'm trying to think of another great NFL QB that was mediocre or worse in college..sure there are a few.

Unitas-Steelers-camp.jpg

In his four-year career as a Louisville Cardinal, Unitas completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns. Reportedly, the 6-foot-1 Unitas weighed 145 pounds on his first day of practice at Louisville. Unitas's first start was in the fifth game of the 1951 season against St. Bonaventure.

After his collegiate career, the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL drafted Unitas in the ninth round. However, Unitas was released before the season began as the odd man out among four quarterbacks trying to fill three spots.

Well done...kinda supports my original point though.

Again...context please.

He made me eat my words for one game and followed it by the worst game played by an OSU QB since Bellasari..ok, maybe Pryor had a few.

The most impressive thing about the MSU smashing is that our QB played horribly.

And thank god he’s a dumb piece of shit, right? Appreciating his career is so tiresome anymore.

Context? Not sure what you're talking about.

I'm not involved with your discussion. Just looking over some stats and figuring out what he needed to do to set all the regular season marks.
