QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

Kid has a real chance at the trophy playing like these last two weeks. If he does this against PSU, ttun and Sparty he could put himself in the drivers seat. Feeling good about that cash I put on him at +2000

They need to preface all his numbers as only playing 3 quarters per game.

Damn near perfect today really. Seeing the field now, going through his progressions, being decisive, and he is stepping into the pocket with confidence and has great presence (which the last one was the biggest issue early on imo). That is two phenomenal performances in a row and CJ has the stranglehold on the starting job moving forward.

He's starting to do everything at an elite level. Very few college QBs now or in the last few years are capable of placing and anticipating throws like he has recently.

“It doesn’t really matter what the outside world says,” Stroud said after the Buckeyes’ 66-17 win against Maryland on Saturday. “If it’s God or my family or my teammates talking then I’ll listen. If it’s not one of them then I’m probably not going to listen.”

In these two Big Ten performances, Stroud joined Dwayne Haskins as the only Buckeye quarterbacks to throw for five touchdowns in back-to-back games.

“I think he’s executing at a fairly high level right now,” head coach Ryan Day said of Stroud postgame. “He still has a lot to build on and he’ll tell you he missed a few things coming out of halftime and we’ve got to keep building that. But I think his preparation has been excellent. I think he sees the field well. He’s got some good players around him but he’s also making some really good throws. His timing has been right, he’s seeing the field, he’s making good decisions and so that’s allowing us to run the offense and be very efficient.”

“I just take what the defense gives me,” Stroud said. “If it’s there, I’ll rip it. If it’s not then I have to be smart with the football.”

“Definitely if I can run the ball, I will and I feel like I’m getting more inclined and more and more I’m running the ball and they’re trying to use me in the run game, which I’m willing to do,” Stroud said. “So we’ve just got to keep building on that.”

With how crazy this season is turning out, I don't see why not. Corral at Ole Miss was the leader a week or 2 ago, now it seems like Ridder at UC is leading, but he put up over 100yds less than Stroud and isn't putting up the same type of stats against much worse competition.
