Agreed. I've been around here 13 years or so, and it's always been my understanding that was rule #1 here. Well reasoned deserved criticism is one thing, but straight up bashing is an auto-ban. I was really disgusted during the Minnesota game by the way some people were reacting to a shaky start by a kid playing in his first game, on the road, in a hostile environment at night in the rain, against a quality opponent. I thought C.J. played exactly the way I expected.....a little rough in the beginning but calmed down and got better as the game wore on. He's going to be just fine and I hope he has a big day today!I don't post in the game threads because of the trash that comes into those threads.
Yes, I'm pointing fingers. Show a little common sense and maturity. These are young men becoming adults playing a game. If your 20 something, 30 something or whatever age ass doesn't realize that then take a step back and get some perspective on life because it's a miserable life you lead if you allow yourself to bash these kids.
And I disagree with Dryden. DO NOT bash Day or the others coaches. They are Buckeyes and one of the reasons I joined this site is because WE DON"T BASH BUCKEYES here. Ever.

Yeah I was thinking the same. I'm good at avoiding player bashing but obviously I can be overly critical of coaching here and there.I might need some guidelines on bashing vs criticism please.
So if I say something like "If I see one more GD defensive back face guard and not turn their head and look for the damn ball I am driving to Cbus and kicking Coombs in the nuts".
Because that may be less harsh depending on the score of what I am probably going to say.
Like Martell or Schlichter?I don't post in the game threads because of the trash that comes into those threads.

I would consider that comment problematic. The first part is fine, being critical of a technique being coached. But for the frustration with that to result in saying that you’ll kick a coach in the nuts is a problem. Although it’s not a serious threat (I’m willing to grant the benefit of the doubt on that), mentioning physical assault of a Buckeye goes too far.I might need some guidelines on bashing vs criticism please.

If there is ever a day to have some perspective on what is important, it should be today.I might need some guidelines on bashing vs criticism please.

The one thing I would say about today as a critique he needs to use his legs. Except for the phantom holding play and another once or twice he refused to pull or run the ball on the roll outCJ played great on the passing end today. He had some guys drop that never do and we really couldnt run the ball in clutch situations. He has to keep getting better every week, especially when it comes to RPO. If he's not getting the option to pull it it has to change because teams are crashing hard on the RB.
Too bad he can't play Defense
