QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

JT has the advantage of time over the other two. He can afford to not be the starter next year and still get 2 years to start if Cardale goes pro after next year. If Cardale comes back I just can't see Miller being in the mix. He has the legs, but he doesn't have the arm of the other two. I never though Miller was an NFL QB, but I don't really know what other position he could play.

What an incredible movie script story. After losing Braxton Miller, and then JT Barrett after his emergence, Cardale Jones adds a vertical threat to an already potent offense. They dominate Wisconsin, beat Alabama by more than the score would suggest, and then blew Oregon away despite turning the ball over 4 times. Oregon had all the momentum after the first drive, and then made an incredible play to pin Ohio State down by their own goal line after the first punt. The turning point in the game was when Ohio State was pinned at their own 3 yard line, and then Cardale threw a 26-yard completion on third down. He then followed that up with another 26-yard play (incredible reception, btw) to Jalin Marshall.

I can call an impartial game and then be a proud alumnus afterwards.

Gotta think he's going pro if he's announced he's "making his decision" today at Ginn Academy.

Winning the conference title, the Sugar Bowl, and the national title in your only college starts and then going pro is the greatest mic drop of all time.

Very well said. I see him going pro as well, and I'd be very excited for his pro upside. I don't know if his stock can get much higher than now

Can't blame him... IMHO its a smart move... The only thing that will happen if he comes back is the scouts will nitpick his game like they do with all players. Going pro he gets to flip the script on them with just that game tape, interviews and the combine. If this is his choice I hope it works out really well. I hope he goes to a GOOD team with an established QB he can learn behind.

if he goes to one of the following I feel bad for him:
Jags, Jets, Browns, Raiders, Buffalo, Cinci, Washington.

Reading some of the projections and no one has him going higher than mid-2nd round, and most have him 3rd round or lower. To me, it would be stupid to leave now...even if he doesn't start at all next season he'll still be a 3rd-round pick or better next draft. But if he starts and plays anywhere near the way he played in his three starts, he'll be the first or second QB taken in 2016. So, he can maybe make a mil or two this year, or make 10-15 mil next year...

It's really a risk reward thing. He leaves now and will most likely be a day 3 pick. I could see 4th/5th round.

If he comes back and wins the starting job and thrives, he's looking at 1st, at worst 2nd/3rd. But if he comes back and doesn't get the starting job, probably just a late round, 6th/7th round pick.

Personally, if I were him I would come back. He'll have spring training to be the main guy. And the potential reward for coming back outweighs the potential risk (see above). Having said that, though, he could be in the exact same situation as Mullens was at OSU (freshman center on the basketball teams for those that don't remember). Just had to leave for family purposes.

Can't say anything bad if he leaves, he deserves it!
