No way Miller would start over him with what Cardale has done and with Miller's injury uncertainty...but it'll be a moot point in about 2 1/2 hours.
Agreed about Miller, and I think it would be crazy to start either Miller or Barrett over him, but something tells me Cardale wouldn't be the starter next year if he returned.
If he leaves, it will cement his mythical status at OSU--guy comes out of nowhere, puts together three wins against three great teams (his only three games as a starter), culminating in bringing a national championship to Ohio State. Then, he's gone, just like that. It really would be an unreal story.
Well, I think that's with the caveat that Braxton is healthy. Obviously if not, then that wouldn't be accurate. No way Miller would start over him with what Cardale has done and with Miller's injury uncertainty...but it'll be a moot point in about 2 1/2 hours.
I don't think either would be crazy, but I would go with the guy that beat three top-ranked defenses and the top-2 seeds in the playoff to close out his NC run. And played well while showing sound decision making and an arm that Barrett and Brax can only dream of. Don't get me wrong, I know a case can be made for all three, but I ride the guy that just won me a consensus NC.What would be crazy about Starting Barrett over Jones? i think it would be the other way around. Barrett just put up 45 TDs as a freshman and was the reason we even had a chance at the playoffs.
I'd say it's a made for Hollywood script, but it's already been done...If he leaves, it will cement his mythical status at OSU--guy comes out of nowhere, puts together three wins against three great teams (his only three games as a starter), culminating in bringing a national championship to Ohio State. Jerome Bettis on His & Hers brought up great points about how much better the offense was with Jones, as a strong pocket passer, in Meyer's system. He thinks Jones is the best fit for Meyer's offense, and I agree.Well, I think that's with the caveat that Braxton is healthy. Obviously if not, then that wouldn't be accurate.
