QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

He is going to need more than three games of game experience to play in the NFL, let alone get a team to spend a draft pick on him.

That is more like it. I remember a QB for the Bengals named Smith who had only one good year flame out. But he still made some money in the process. Where Cardale has that great year is still up for debate.
which he is unlikely to get here unless Braxton is forced to change positions.

I don't think it's that far fetched. I wouldn't blame any of them for transferring or declaring early, but...
- Brax staying at QB is up in the air. Certainly he's not playing QB in the NFL. The given timeline for his recovery doesn't bode well for declaring early either. It doesn't sound like he'd be able to go blow up the combine or even do much in private workouts.

- Cardale is a diehard that's stuck it out this far. I think he's least likely to transfer, but anything can happen. As a 3rd year guy, even if he did want to transfer he still may stay for another year, graduate, and play right away somewhere else in 2016.
- JT has to believe his chances are good here at this point. I think he'd be slight favorite to keep the job as things stand now, but most likely to transfer if he ends up as a backup. Still, a transfer would require sitting out a year. If Brax is the starter, then what's the point in transferring? If Cardale is the starter, there's more to think about... especially if his childhood favorite Texas came calling.

For you recruiting guys - how is Torrence Gibson going to fit into this shuffle? I don't follow recruiting, but I seem to remember that he chose Ohio State over a couple other places because Ohio State isn't planning to change his position.

He has hence said that he would be willing to change positions if the QB position doesn't work out.

Not sure about anyone else, but my confidence level went up a quantum step after listening to Cardale in that interview. Very thoughtful and intelligent answers to some probing questions.

Yeah. Anyone that wants to judge Cardale by one ill-advised tweet when he was clowning around as a redshirt freshman can underestimate him at their own peril. That interview shows Cardale is clearly very intelligent, well spoken, and prepared to handle what's coming his way.

He seems like our most confident QB we've had to be honest. JT is well spoken and Braxton is always really shy and quiet. He answered without hesitating and seemed very quietly confident that he has what it takes to get the job done. I loved his answer when he goes "Devin can run really fast and I can throw the ball really far so.."

80 yards though holy shit. We will definitely be taking our shots down field this game because like CJ said he allows this team to go vertical more so than the other two QB's. I really hope it works out for Cardale though regardless of what happens, and whether that means sticking it out at OSU for his career or say transferring to Houston to join TH. The guy is a cool dude and I hope he sticks around
