Cardale is improved over last year and making more difficult NFL like throws.
He's seeing the whole field better. He's got better "touch" on difficult passes.
He's a better leader.
This is his "money" year for the NFL. This year will determine where he goes and how much he'll make.

One off game and the critical fans want to throw him under the bus.
What has changed from the guy who came off the bench to win a National Championship?
Some of you are just plain old idiots for dumping on a great Buckeye! He's just a kid. He's got a lot of growing to do yet.
And it was not just him!
The whole offense was out of sync!

He'll be better this week.
The whole team will.

I'm guessing he was somdamned relieved when a snap actually went in his general direction he assumed the plays were basically over.

Car dale has been just fine. A little rusty and not releasing as quick as he did/will. Dude is just fine

Only thing I'm really concerned with is the deep ball all of a sudden resembling a punt. Not sure why so much hang time on some of those when he clearly has the gun to let it go sooner and on more of a line. Devin made a lot of those still work because he just ate DB's alive but other than Thomas now that Noah is out I'm a little worried some of those might not work out this go around.

I do wish the playcalling would limit the read with him and go back to more of that rocker step and straight play-action or QB draw. Those are his strengths. Don't ask him to do what fits JT better and vice versa

I think that's the major problem right now, he's being asked to play JT's game and not his. I know Meyer says it's the same game plan and system with each QB, but it really isn't, and it's showing. The receivers outside of Thomas aren't proven to be the "get the ball if it's in their area" type that Smith and Spencer were, so the deep balls aren't as safe a bet unless they get wide open, which could be affecting the play calling and/or Cardale's decisions.

Fans get very impatient with their team. Look how many wanted Herman gone!
There seems to be a lot of experimentation with play calling right now.
It leads to raggedness on offense. But the schedule looks full of cupcakes (NIU isn't one).
I expect better this week from CJ/JT and the offense.

Watch the B1G Title Game again. I though most of the deep balls were like that. Were were just fortunate their DB were clueless.
