My poor 7 month old son just saw a completely different side of me. Apparently screaming in uncontrollable excitement is scary to him. He'll learn soon enough. Go Bucks! Guiton is the big man on campus this weekend! Get well Braxton!

It's nice having kids that are big enough to cheer with me....although my son probably thinks I'm a monster after that roar I let go when Smith caught that longer pass from Kenny G on the last drive.

So, if Braxton has a broken clavicle, looked like it, who is the backup to Kenny G? Cordale?

Hmmmm. I wonder how much he will like going to class this week. hehe

I think Kenny's game will probably allow for a lot fewer hits on him than Braxton does but the defenses wont be nearly as worried about him running.

Ok, now to just soak in this victory.

I think Kenny will be fine, both passing and running. I tell you what, once he got into the rhythm of the game today, his passes looked equal to or maybe even slightly better than Braxton's did.

Just gotta accept the fact that this is 99.9% likely a loss, and hope for a miracle. Gonna only have about 40 seconds left.

This was going to happen. This was a team that had a fragile confidence coming out of the Indiana game after having the bubble burst from the Nebraska game. indiana just didn't have the horses to pull it off last week. Somehow Purdue did.

Complete failure on all levels. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching. Just hope Braxton will be back soon. Embarrassing showing.

Not saying that it causes any injuries, but...

I'll just say I've always hated FieldTurf for some reason (both running on it and seeing others run on it)...

...and somehow that damn "Seinfeld" line keeps ringing in my head.

"AstroTurf, you know who's responsible for that..." - George

Can someone give me an update on the game? I left with 4 mins remaining.

You're welcome.

Following a short punt, we took over at the 50 with 40 seconds left. Guiton had some clutch throws, Hyde had a short run for a 1st, and that was followed by clear defensive PI that took us from the 3rd and 10 with 10 s left to the 2 with 10 seconds left. Guiton threw a beauty for a TD (which was reviewed), we obviously went for 2. During the 2, 2 undefended Purdue defenders came after Guiton - he looked left and tossed it to a wide open Stoney in the EZ.

Squib quick to end regulation time.

We took over first in OT, quick tempo offense, including a 17 yard strike by KG and some powerful running by Hyde led to a TD.

Our corners and defense created pressure on Purdue in their possession, defensed the pass well and... WE WON!!

I'm sure I got some facts wrong, but my heart is fricking pounding right now.

That said, this team has a LONG LONG LONG way to go on both sides of the ball. I still say we are a fringe top 25-18 team. Secondary and passing game need a TON of work

His passes were good with a little less velocity. Very catchable balls. We will be fine.

Yeah, I was wrong about the result. I'm happy to admit it.

I still think the symptoms were there the entire game until that last drive by the Offense and the defensive time in OT. They looked like a completely different, and older, and more mature team at that time.

Honestly, I liked Kenny's passing more than Braxton's.

He doesn't have the arm, but he seems to be willing to wait longer for the play to develop. The TD pass and 2pt conversion were mostly thanks to him waiting for the right guy to open up. By then, Braxton would have been off to the races.

That doesn't mean that Kenny>Brax, but I am confident that Kenny can keep this team afloat while Braxton comes back. Hope its a speedy recovery, because I'd hate for him to have his season cut short.

I am kind of with what jlb and grad said - this team needed this type of win. Granted I would have rather had it without Braxton being seriously injured (or so it appears), but in the end they had to pull together and TRUST EACH OTHER to win this game in the end.

I still think this team needs to go somewhat into rebuilding mode, but wins feel good too.

When this team needs to come up big to win a bigger game against a better team, they'll be able to call on their experience from today and play with assertiveness and confidence. This will serve the team well, especially players that surround Miller when he gets back.
